"Watchmen" Movie Nods To Mechanical Watches
If I wasn't a prior fan of the Watchmen graphic novel, I might have thought that this was the perfect "watch" superhero movie. Come on "watch men." It would have been too good to be true with heroes like "The Human Main Spring," "Clockimedes," and the "Chronographer."? Villains might be the "Tickler," "Quartz Madness," and the "Asian Counterfeiter" (I did just humor myself there).? They call Watchmen the most "celebrated graphic novel" of all time. That may be true in some circles, but I prefer to think of Watchmen as graphic novel that celebrates the comic genre. Writer Alan Moore and artist David Gibbons said it was "unfilmable -" but it wasn't, and they did, and they did it well. List,I have been looking for my first luxury watch for my 50th b-day/25th anniversary. I am drawn towards the 2503.33 (white with blue markers), but have never seen or been able to try one on to be sure that is is the one.Recently, however, I was traveling in another city and walked into a Rolex dealer on a whim. The saleslady and I struck up a conversation and she brought out new old stock Rolex 116234 datejust with the blue dial and stick markers. It had the most beautiful blue dial I have ever seen. I put it on and found I almost could not take my eyes off it. The shop has had it for some time and wants to sell, so she was willing to give me 25% off. This makes the price for a brand new DJ at around $5k.I know that Omega made the 2500 AT in a blue dial/silver hands version, but I have only seen pictures of it. Likewise it has not been made in awhile, so any one of these I find is going to be used and (may) need service.Question: Does anyone have experience with the 2503.80 bl

I'm looking at buying a 5711 White Dial (to complement my growing collection) but cannot find one to try on to finalise my decision... the AD's in Houston do not have one in stock. Is there anyone in the Houston/Galveston Area that you could recommend to view and buy through? Is there anyone in the area that has one that I could maybe meet up with for coffee on a Sunday?
