Jaeger LeCoultre 171 84 70 wrist watches news:
I now have the collection down to where I want it, a TT Datejust, a TT Sub and a Traser 6500
Well, my highly anticipated watch is finally here. As most have guessed Maurice Lacroix - Peseux with the Peseux movement, guilloche, and sub seconds. The watch is absolutely amazing, I truly think this is the most beautiful watch I've ever had in my possession. I've uncovered one problem, the minute hand is not working properly. After several revolutions of the second hand, the minute hand has not moved. If I shake the watch once relatively hard the minute hand will move (but not dangle loosely).Any ideas on what to do? I just contacted the seller with the problem and I'm waiting to see what they'll do. I'm really in love with the watch and don't want to have to send it back. I know now though why Maurice Lacroix has always been a favorite of mine. They are simply stunning. Here are a few pictures without me trying to get too attached in the event I do have to give it up.
My good friend Shane, one of my favourite people in the wonderful world of WIS, rushed one of his beautiful Black Widow straps to me in 20mm and I just fitted it to the MM. This strap is about 4mm thick but very light and flexible. With the short lugs of the MM it works really well as the strap is pressed against the case and because of the flex in the strap it partially curves into the case so there is almost zero daylight anywhere along the case. Here's a few quick shots to give you an idea:
I am probably going to pick up my first Patek in September when I am back in the UK. An AD has set aside a 5296G 010. He's quoted ¡ê17,750. Do you think I should be able to get a discount on this ? I have no previous relationship with this AD.Image from internet
Ahhhhhh. After a most 8 months I still find this piece quite the eye candy. What do you guys think?
