- Beautiful watch. I like the bracelet band style. Numbers are large enough to read. Elegant for day and night. Only thing I would want is more blue stones in the band to give it more color, more noticability.

Longines L 55024766 wrist watches news:
Greetings Rolex Fans!Over the holiday weekend, I finished up my article discussing the rare Rolex Explorer II 16570-3186:The Explorer 16570-3186 - The Last Five-Digit Rolex Sports ModelThis article is in many ways a follow up to my article The Mystery of the Rolex GMT Master II 16710-3186 from 2008. Both are fairly rare models (particularly the 16710-3186) and therefore of tremendous importance to collectors.I hope you enjoy the article - do let me know your thoughts!
I was looking at a old video about the Finnish "1000 lakes" rally from 1968 on youtube when I saw a stopwatch marking the seconds before a car started but it was not sweep-hand. As far as I remember quartz watches started to circulate around 1970 something what was that then?Is the video not original or did there exist non-sweep hand mechanical or electric stop-watches in 1968? The link to the video:YouTube - 1000 Lakes Rally Finland 1968 - Part 1 of 2If you are not a rally maniac and want to go to the relevant part directly jump to 4:20 or so.GLF
I can't seem to find any info on it, I seem to recall seeing bracelets like these on some older seiko models from the 1970's, anything you can tell me would be appreciated, thanks.
In light of all of the Basel 2018 speculation on new releases, today I very coincidently received in trade a GMT-Master II 16710 Z series red/black on a Jubilee bracelet.
I'm looking at a future purchase for the wife. We've narrowed it down to the Oyster Perpetual 36 and the DateJust 36.For the stainless steel models, the DJ ($6600) is a little more than the OP ($5400), but has more options (dial, bezel, bracelet, etc).My wife doesn't care for the date. On her current watches, she just has me to change the date for her. But, in talking with her, she doesn't mind either of the two watches. My questions are... 1. Is one better than the other in terms of holding its value?2. Is one better than the other in terms of getting a discount?3. For a possible resale later on, is there a big difference in getting the oyster bracelet vs the jubilee bracelet (if we go with the datejust)?4. Lastly, is there anything else I should be thinking about, that I haven't mentioned?
