Longines L2 643 4 wrist watches news:
The longer one spends around the watch collecting world, the more one tends to be interested in early watches – typically those that pre-date the "modern era." What I mean by that is there is a clear division with many brands – Rolex, Omega, and Heuer, for example, all began naming watch lines in the 1950s and '60s: the Submariner, Speedmaster, Carrera, et al. But, the watches that came before these great lines of horology existed are fascinating not only because of their relative obscurity, but also because of their purity in design. In this story, I examine four watches all available in Phillips' Geneva Watch Auction Two that were made by Rolex, and they're all complicated. But, none of them fall under the category of a Submariner, GMT, Daytona, or Explorer. And there is real beauty in that. Today I spoke by phone with an authorized person of Omega manufacture in Bern, Switzerland...I told the guy that I need a dial for Omega Seamaster, ref. nr.135.011 caliber 601....he said that they are out of these dials since 1 year agoI don`t know where to seek for a new dial....Let someone help me if possible. It was exactly this dial, but the case of my Omega is silverHere is how my Seamaster looks now.I made the dial silver-plated...and I don`t like it.
In case I lose my watch box where can I get another one? Here is the green box I am talking about.
Hello, I hope you are all doing well. Sorry in advance for the probably long winded post but I am sure you appreciate this as it is my first good watch! My current watch is a Casio...I have been looking for about a year now for a nice, daily watch, with a chronograph, that can withstand daily outdoor life and I absolutely love the ROO chronographs, especially the brown 2014 themes model. I won¡¯t be diving or hod carrying, but I do some outdoor activities that may give it some light knocks or water / mud - hunting, shooting, camping, etc.The model I am interested in is steel with a hornback leather strap. What kind of durability can I expect from such a watch? Is is reasonable to use it as a daily watch? I know I should not be comparing it with an Explorer or Submariner as these are true ¡°beaters¡± .. but on the other hand, I am not looking to climb Everest or go scuba diving, so I am hoping I will be OK.After visiting an AP boutique in January, they look and feel more substantial than a
This is my second PO I've had in about a year. I first got the 45.5mm and while I love it, it just wasn't comfortable to me. The 42mm has completely changed my mind :)Rolex needs to start AR coating their crystals. It make such a difference.
