If anyone recognizes this model or has any information that would be great. Thanks
I have a pocketwatch that was in my grandfathers watch shop when he passed away and I have been trying to learn more about it. I have been told the maker was Robert Hessel in Erfurt Germany. I have not been able to find any information on this person or any other samples of his work if this is true. This name and city is engraved inside the back cover of the watch. I assumed this was the owner...but someone said this is the watch maker. There are several other marks some I know are silver marks and proof marks. I'f I'm in the wrong place - please just point me in the right place? There is a blemish on the face next to the number "2" and I assumed this is why my grandfather had it to repair. But...nobody ever came back for the watch. We waited well over 6 months and then my father had the items for YEARS longer and instruction to his neighbors where to send people to collect their time pieces. I have several more of all kinds I haven't even gotten to yet. Some watches (no band) with soli

Would love to find a 1st series AOPA/black dial Navitimer in great shape. 4 digit Sub prices are crazy even with the sheer numbers there are I've decided to focus on the Breitling. According to the literature posted it's going to be from '55-'63 for Navi or a Cosmo '63-'64 with bead bezel and panda dials. I'd like to wear it!Anyone care to share resources? Your personal hunt/luck story? Care/service antidotes? What to look for? Thanks!
Good morning gents,I'm just looking for some help, while looking online one day I found a website or blog I can't remember which but it was written by one man and dedicated to the Rolex submariner. The website/ blog seemed to be written by a fan at least that's the impression I got from reading it. He went into extreme detail about every aspect of the watch from the history to the construction it and also contained very detailed diagrams that I have never seen online before such as how the pearl is constructed etc. I have been searching for months trying to find this gold mine of information with no luck at all so I thought perhaps some of the forum members might be able to help? Many thanks,Hunter
