Maurice Lacroix Maurice Lacroix 26524 wrist watches news:
I noticed that a few people mentioned Cartier in the watches we don't see in the forums post. So today's featured brand is Cartier.--------------------------------------------------------------------------Founded 1847Established Paris, FranceCartier¡¯s story:In 1847, Louis-Fran?ois Cartier takes over the jewellery workshop of his master, Adolphe Picard, at 29 rue Montorgueil in Paris. This marks the birth of the Maison Cartier. In 1899, Cartier moves into 13 rue de la Paix, the Maison¡¯s current address. The future of the Maison falls to the three Cartier brothers: Louis, Pierre and Jacques. They travel the world, from India to Russia, from the Persian Gulf to the United States. Branches are opened in London in 1902 and New York in 1909. The foundations of the Maison Cartier are laid. Cartier soon wins fame among the royal courts of Europe. Fellow AP owners. Are the lugs on the Diver supose to have some range of movement, a little play, so straps hold the wrist better? Or are they supposed to be totally fixed and not move at all? Thanks
Hey,Now that I've got a Planet Ocean; I've been bitten by the bug...I saw a vintage Speedmaster Pro the other day at the local Jeweler... Priced 1975 it was a caliber 861 movement. The person there didn't know too much about it but gave me the email of the watch guy. What questions should I be asking; what should I be looking for. It looked like it was in quite nice shape....thanks!drccw
I've bought a modern SubC Bracelet to put on my ExplorerII. I need to add the additional bracelet links that came with the bracelet and are looking for some guidance as to what screwdriver to get. Any suggestions? Thanks David
Finally got the call today. Absolutely stoked. Deposit down. Pick up on Saturday. I thought, since from time to time on here folk enquire about getting hold of popular sports Rolexes in the UK, I¡¯d briefly relay my experience. I¡¯m not an expert, and I¡¯m not saying what I¡¯ve done is the best or only way of getting hold of one. But it¡¯s what I did. Bear in mind, this will be my first Rolex, albeit I have a few nice watches from other brands I had no kudos with any AD save for an Omega boutique. I¡¯m not a VIP, nor a big spender on PM watches. So the hunt began last Summer. Saw a BLNR in Watchfinder Canary Wharf and fell for it - this watch looks so much better in the metal and on the wrist than any picture. I went straight across to the nearest AD (WOS Canary Wharf) and got myself a place at number 140(!) on their waiting list (quoted 1 year). Then, with my wife for some unknown reason enthused about the hunt, I resolved to incorporate finding local Rolex AD's on our frequent weekend trip
