Say hello to the MB&F HM5 watch. The 5th model in the Horological Machine family comes about two years after the release of the MB&F HM4 (hands-on here), and is actually the high-end boutique watch brand's most affordable watch ever. Max Busser of MB&F continues to assert his youth and the inspiration that formed his tastes in a watch that is not only motivated by an era, but also directly inspired by some of its most iconic creations.Last year while waiting for a new Horological Machine model we were greeted with the Legacy Machine Number 1. WTF/Watch Forum = Relief from TRF Trivialities
Having perused the TRF and their variety of everyday topics, I've found this forum to be far more practical and insightful in terms of Rolex ownership.There's no 'keeping up with the Jones', OCD issues and/or 'show-off' mentalities running rampant. Very refreshing in a world where status-symbolism often reigns supreme amongst contemporary, new-moneyed mind-sets.Though the WTF traffic may be considerably less than the TRF, the responses here are always straightforward and to the point. One can appreciate that.Once upon a time, Rolexes had sort of an esoteric following. Nowadays they seem to fall into the same mundane category as BMWs, Nikon cameras and Martin guitars, items once respected for what they were but now relegated to upwardly-mobile consumerism and braggadocio.Perhaps this is the curse of anything well-made and expensive. Eventually they become mainstream and potentially tacky (especially to the old-timers who simply appreciated them per se).

i haven't seen any mention of the hour vision around here...i just love the watch..it has too many things good about it that appeal to me:-the design and sapphire construction is bold, new, very pleasing and refreshing.-the movement calibres 8500/8501 were especially designed from scratch and put in this watch.-the blue seconds hand just takes my breath away.in all it is my dream dress watch....any one please has any pics of their own hour vision watches, wrist shots or anything, please share.I am sharing just some googled pics......p.s.i love the stainless steel version with leather strap but i am sure the others look lovely too..leather and silver rather than gold and bracelet is just my taste :)
