- Lovely watch, fit great. Could not change out the bands. Much too hard. I could not even open the thing to remove one to put on a new one. Disappointed, packed to go back. End of story.

Maurice Lacroix MP7158-SS001-901 wrist watches news:
Hi Guys, Its been awhile since my last post. This new job of mine is killing me.Anyway, hope u guys can advice me on a problem I noticed on my watch.I was winding it as sadly I have been neglecting it for awhile. After winding it up and adjusting the time, I noticed that the second hand didn't automatically start to move. There wasn't a "click" when I push in the crown after adjusting the time, there was a click and the second hand started moving only when I was half way screwing in the crown. Hope my fellow WIS can help me with this unfortunate problem of mine.
Hello everybody! I'm not a Rolex owner yet but have always wanted one. Ultimately the model I'd love to own is either 16618LB or LN. But of couse the more gold the more expensive. So in the short term 16613LB or LN will work just fine. In my proffesion I can't wear wedding rings or jewelery. I am a CNC programmer/Machinist by trade but after work or on the weekends I'm good to go. Even if I had no idea how iconic a Rolex was I would still be able to tell it was something special just by looking at the craftsmanship and quality of the time piece.
The other day (on another forum), Joel and Rob (IIRC) were bemoaning the rise in prices of Elgins on Ebay, and hinting broadly that it was my fault for popularizing the brand. Pish and tosh, boys! There are still bargains out there! For example, this baby, which I got just today.Billed as a 'Ladies' watch', it's actually a man's watch, with a 1940s JB Champion bracelet in reasonable working condition! The movement is a 15j 557, one of the 15/0 series from about 1942. It was listed as not running, because the seller couldn't wind it. I checked, and the bevel pinion and crown wheel were skipping. I've seen this before, when the crown wheel screw is loose. A few turns counterclockwise, and it's fixed!Running with pretty good amplitude, too! Now, I don't think I'll be able to wear it as it is. Too girly, even though the previous owner's wrist was at least as large as mine. And what did this set me back?$10. Ten Dollars for a working watch, with an excellent dial, a decent case, a v

Any reason why one "should" be better than the other?I'm looking at 2 different GMT watches and one has the 2836-2 (Aeronautic GMT) and the other has the 2893-2 (Debaufre GMT Ocean 1). The 2893-2 is about $150 more in price (about $500 vs. $650).For me, I think I like the look of the 2836-2 watch better so I may have answered my own question but I wanted an opinion on one movement vs. the other.Thanks.
