In 2014, Ball Watch broke new ground in antimagnetic watch technology with the introduction of its Engineer II Magneto S, a watch that featured an inner shield, made of a patented alloy called “mumetal,” which protected its mechanical movement from the adverse effects of magnetic fields. The?humbly, yet implicatively titled Aviation collection possibly is the most widely recognized range of watches from Bell & Ross. With its debut in 2005 it not only helped to bring the brand to a much wider audience, but also to ultimately make watches inspired by aviation and instruments a more important trend in the watch world.?The BR03 line of watches are part of the Aviation collection and today we are looking at a new and very limited piece called the BR03-51 GMT-TWG, sold exclusively by?The Watch Gallery UK.The model in question is an alternative version of the also new BR03-51 GMT Carbon, which is not to be confused with the other model called "GMT Titanium" (the one that actually has a dial where there's carbon fiber material visible). A little stocking stuffer...
...for myself:I went to Tiffany's this afternoon to buy Windy's Christmas gift, and while I was there I ran upstairs to see what they had available in black straps.Well, it turns out they were clearing out 2. One was just like the leather strap that originally came with the Mark Coupe but was a long size. The other was the lizard shown above. I had looked at it before when I bought the croc strap and almost bought it. There are a few watches this would look sharp on, but this one is the front runner today:

Some new straps for my 44 SS
I had some straps that I ordered a while back, One is the GP strap with red which I bought used and the other is a strap I bought from AP bands, I think it is the Ruebens Barrichello with white stitch. Both are a great change to the rubber. I really like the AP bands one, but I have had a hell of a time trying to fit it. I bent one screw bar in the process and I am ready to send it back for crappy fitment issues. Too bad, it¡¯s a nice strap for the SS. Anyway, here are some pics of my experiment this afternoon!
