Omega 321.93.42.50.13.001 wrist watches news:
I was in Viet-Nam some months ago, and saw in various places, so called military watches for sale. A lot of them were the Green plastic type but there was also better quality U.S. and I think, French. There were probably a lot of others as well, but as I was not a watch addict at that time, I didn't take much notice. I also saw in a local paper in Saigon, that U.S. vets were actively helping the Govt. identify and locate mass graves from the war. Amongst the items found in the graves were various watches and personal effects. It got me thinking about what the guys on both sides would have been wearing. I realise that the N.V.A and V.C. may not have been as affluent as our side, but can anybody shed light on their choices. I guess the same question could be asked of the current conflicts our guys are fighting. Can any of you Vets shed light on this, or maybe have any souvenirs to show. I think we are probably looking at a whole new wave of timepieces that went to war.
As you know the Zenith El Primero has been on my hit list for quite some time. For various reasons I didn't pull the trigger. Finally I have my retirement and grail watch in one. Its a bit anti-climatic following Donut's Indies but I'm ecstatic anyway. This will even make me learn to take better pics Next year is the Calatrava and I won't have to buy anymore watches
Just had my Royal Oak Offshore back from servicing with AP. Put it on the winder and went away for a couple of weeks. When I returned the watch had stopped and, since wearing it for a day, is still stopping. Can I manual wind this model? It doesn't sound or feel as though it does but I'm not sure. I've been moving it around on my wrist and it will start again but stops later. Any experience of this?
Started in AP several years ago with a ROO RG rubberclad then added a 41mm RG RO on bracelet. Last year added the Ti Schumi, 44mm RG and let go of the RG rubberclad and 41mm RO. Just added the ROO RG bracelet a couple of weeks ago. I think this combination will stick for a while!
Hi All,I am new to Panerai world and been bitten by the Panerai. Been looking around and have set my heart on a PAM 000.Been searching for some time and manage to find a BNIB R series for a price close to retail. My question is, should I pull the trigger at this price point or keep looking?Settle for an early series? which I find the price is quite high for used examplesAny advice would be appreciated.
