Omega 2279 wrist watches news:
This perpetual calendar of Senator Glashutte Navigator is designed with a robust simple looking silhouette which is composed of stainless steel material. This case in stainless steel and bezel are paired with a black leather strap which makes it look elegant. Like all other pilots watches, this clock is delivered with a black dial is highlighted with white and white hour markers coated with Luminescent Hands.
So, I've had a 1940-41 coral gold filled Ross for several years now, but it was missing the rhodium plated second hand and the crown was yellow. I've been bidding on non-working, poor condition cgf Ross's ever since without success. Well, I finally got one last week with a bid of $58 - just to get a second hand. Bonus - the hour & minute hands are in better condition than the ones I've got, too.
So I'd been tossing around the idea of getting a leather band for the winter. Is it me or does anyone else notice a huge change in Breitling leather straps as of a few years ago? They used to be supple, perfectly stitched and the breitling markings were more deeply imprinted on the inside of the straps. Now, I find the new straps feel cheap and harsh. Well long story short, I found an NOS older black 22/18 strap and jumped on it. Quite pleased with the results. I also have to give a shout out to the service tech at NYC's Breitling boutique. A very nice gentleman who showed me some really amazing rare vintage Breitlings that he had in the service room. I'll post some photos below.
I received this pin set several years ago when I purchased my PO from Tourneau. I have this looked up in my safe ever since.... I actually forgot I even had this set. Anyone know the value of these? Anyone collect these things? Here is a picture of one I found on eBay...
10 years ago when I was 17 I bought my first swiss watch, an Omega Seamaster 2231.80. For me it was an achievement as well a birthday for myself! every penny was my own money so I was proud of myself. Before this SM I owned a NIKE chronograpph :) and before that it was a Coca Cola watch and some fakes. My local Omega AD was having a 50% discount on ALL MODELS!!!! They had RADO and Breitling as well.2 years later I sold the watch to fund an upgrade. Initially I was looking for a Rolex TT DJ but after I did more research I went for a Breguet 5907 which I brought back from Lisbon during a school trip. I even got the tax refunded in the lisbon airport even though I lived in Denmark. LOL These guys got no clue. I just hate paying tax!NOT MY PICAs you could imagine a young dude with a classic Breguet just dont cope so I swaped it with another dealer for a new Aquatimer Chronograph 3 years later which I still own today.Days moved on and so did my collection with added pieces from other brand
