I have twin daughters graduating medical school next month. I am considering a Oyster no date mid size as a graduation gift. I would like to give something a little nicer, but buying 2...................Am I making a mistake in giving the entry model? Do the basic watches hold value(that is not most important thing, but is a consideration). Thanks for your input
Hello everyone. This is my first post. I'm a bit excited about the start to a new hobby and thank you all for such wonderful insight I've had a chance to read in the past week. I've spent many a nights up late reading so much.I'm in a position to buy a watch and a few are limited editions. Would there be a rhyme or reason on choosing a certain serial number over another? Is number 42 better than 68? Aside from any personal sentimental numbers that is.Thanks!
Hello everyone,I have found that, in many auctions on eBay, there are a tremendous number of repainted dials, mangled movements, and fake cases. I think the hardest thing for the novice (including myself) is to know something about the movements. Are there some guidelines for learning about movements and detecting those that are not all that they seem to be?
My 1929 Rose Gold Oyster and my Mondavi Chardonnay Reserve Select - tomorrow it will probably be a Cabarnet but for today - it's my Chardonnay. What are you drinking while reading TRF?
