Omega 231.10.34.20.55.002 wrist watches news:
I just got my latest new Hamilton. It is a Hamilton Khaki field Mechanical 40mm case with a 2804 manual wind movement. I think it's the hand wind version of the 2824 automatic.I got the watch in the mail yesterday and the temperature was about -5 degrees outside. I think it sat at my door for at least two hours and who knows what temp it was on the truck. I let the watch warm up in the house for about four hours and decided to give it a go by winding it all the way up. To my surprise it did nothing. I gave it a good thump on my hand and it began ticking. Sad to say that only lasted a few minutes and it stopped again. I let the watch sit for until bedtime, about four more hours, gave it a another thump and it started ticking again. It has been 24 hours now and the watch has not stopped again only gaining one second. My question: Is this something I should be worried about or is it just because of the cold? I don't want to take the tags off the watch and wear it until I'm sure everything
Hey guys!I bought this Hamilton yesterday at the NAWCC convention in Kansas City (along with about 40 other watches) but I did not really know that much about it but the dial looked very nice and the case is in very good condition as well. The dial looks like some sort of avaitor's symbol due to the wings. On the case back it reads: ORD. DEPT, U.S.A., OD-52160. My WWII military symbol knowledge is rather week but I am pretty sure that the OD stands for 15-17 jewel wrist watches. Anybody know what this watch is called or what the dial means? Thanks!
My Victorinox Swiss Army watch, from the Classic Infantry line, #241376 arrived this afternoon. Let me just say, the pictures online simply do not do this watch any justice. I can't stop looking at the dial! Here's the specs: Stainless steel case 44mm 330 feet water resistance 13mm thick front crystal Sapphire, treated with anti-reflective film rear crystal is mineral dial-engraved and sunburst effect movement: Mechanical ETA Unitas 6498.1 17 jewels 18,000 VPH power reserve 46 hours made in Switzerland lugs 23mmI hope you don't mind, but I'll just repost my first impressions straight from my blog. The case is brushed, but a thin band around the bezel is polished. That treatment is subtle, but very noticeable. The dial is outstanding. Fitting with the name of the watch, which contains classic and vintage in the title, the dial definitely has the retro look. The color of the dial, to me is a very bright cross between hunter green and olive drab. T
I know I love seeing pics of everyones watches and I like to TRY and take good pics of mine (BTW ulack how do I get macros of my watches)...so I was thinking since we do a "watch your wearing" daily post , but see the deal is that I post old pics of my watch...as do most of us. I mean how many of us take a daily pic of the watch we are wearing THAT day?So here what I was thinking......duh...OK we take a WEEKLY....running thread maybe of something we did with our watch...even if its our watch sitting poolside, or helping our hand flip burgers on the grill, operating a wrench or fierarm, or more exciting like a poisonous snake or the yoke of our twin Beechcraft...maybe waving to the crowd from our float...heck I don't know. It's like a little glimse into "here's what me and the watch did this weekend"..."the watch and I went skiing in Breckenridge"...or "me and the watch bagged a trophy Cape Buffalo in South Africa"..."me and the watch had a few beers with the guys"...well you get the
I just changed the black rubber strap to the white. The watch pops alot more now.
