Omega ST145.002 wrist watches news:
Hello FriendsRecently I posted which AP I should add to my collection. I think I've decided to go with the Diver. Now am I crazy to trade my Daytona towards the Diver. I find the Daytona too shiny and the non date feature kind of bothers me. I'm also finding it difficult to wear anything but my AP right. Seriously am I losing it, or just appreciating higher quality craftsmanship. I know some will say, get what sings to you, but sometimes you need a TRF check before moving ahead. :)
Can anyone tell me - is the Speedmaster Professional (3870.50.31) an in-house movement? Looking to add this to my collection, and just trying to learn a little more. Thanks!
I've decided to keep my 5712R instead of trading it for 5980/1A, could've been a worse trade ever lol. however the chrono lust is still there, was thinking maybe adding it to pair up with the 5712R, (steel/gold) or pick a non-nautilus Patek to keep the variety going? Potential aim would be the 5146R, the 5960P in blue dial is the ultimate Patek I wanted to have, but I guess I'm going to save it for a special occasion. Should I stick to the steel chrono or go for something I don't have in my existing collection?
This may seem like a stupid question but before I contact my AD I was curious if anyone knows if PP will sell just the solid gold bracelet for the newly released 5980R and if so would it fit on a 5712R. The banking on a gold bracelet 5712R but we got an awesome 5980R instead. Anywho, just curious. I know the case on the '80 is bigger then the '12 not sure about the lugs tho. Thanks!
I've got an exciting incoming soon, after almost 10 years of toying with the idea of getting one but never quite being at the right place at the right time a ref 17000 is on the way. This got me thinking, given that Rolex did in fact develop two new Cal. to replace the date and day date OQ models in the early 00s but never went into full production, I imagine it would be relatively straightforward to release a new model. If that were the case, would you buy one and if so, what features would you hope for and at what price point?
