The Uniform Wares 300 Chronograph is where fashion meets function in watch form. The design of this watch mixes the precise eye of a trained industrial designer with contemporary fashion sensibilities. The lines of the watch are sharp and mechanical with an emphasis on geometry and proportions. The pallet of the watch is monochromatic and understated but far from dull. It is at once stylized but restrained, striking but understated and a welcome change in pace from more traditionally styled watches.Case: Matte Black PVD 316L Stainless steelMovement: ETA 251.471 23 Jewel Quartz ChronographDial: Brass – Matte Greys / Matte Grey IndexesLens: Hardened Mineral CrystalCase Back: ScrewdownStrap: Black Italian Calf LeatherWater Res.: 50 MDimensions: 42mmThickness: 10.80 mmLug Width: 18mmWarranty: 24 monthsThe aesthetic of this watch is riffing on the Bauhaus style, which can be most notably seen in the watches of Max Bill and Dieter Rams. Dial is back from International Dial and installed. I think the printing looks slightly better than the original, but more importantly, the dial is not BLISTERED! ;) I white balanced all of the pics that my watchmaker sent me, so enjoy. When I get it back and put it on a strap, i'll take some more pics!BEFORE:(Most picture taken from the side so you can see the blistering on the dial)AFTER:(Taken by the watchmaker before sending it back to me)And some resized and white balanced shots of the movement that I already posted:Still the same, incorrect crown. He had one that another customer had bought, but it was $50 and crowns can be had around the $30 point online. We're going to change the crown at some point, though. What do you think?-James

Hey Gang,I'm considering the purchase of a watch where the case and bracelet are made of Titanium. Titanium is super strong and deceptively light weight, but I'm concerned about the inevitable scratches it can pick up on the clasp and whatnot. I hear that it scratches more easily than SS. I have some experience with SS and polishing out scratches that I picked up from some great postings of John H. and others. However, I haven't found anyone commenting on how they care for scratches on Titanium. Anyone have comments on if buffing out scratches is possible and if so how to do it in terms of materials and techniques? Thanks in advance.
