Oris 01 733 7646 7154 07 4 26 04TEB wrist watches news:
The winning watches of the second annual Watchstars Awards ¡ª chosen by an independent panel of international experts, including WatchTime’s Joe Thompson, Norma Buchanan, and Mark Bernardo ¡ª were announced this week. Omega was the biggest winner this year, capturing two of the five categories. Scroll down to see the results.Watchstars was created by Ebner Publishing Group, parent company of WatchTime and its German sister publications, Chronos and Uhren Magazin. Significantly, watch manufacturers are not permitted to submit watches to the competition: only members of the judging panel, which this year consisted of no less than 70 members, can nominate and vote on the watches. All watches are eligible, regardless of the brand, its size, and its country of origin. The five categories for the Watchstars awards are Classic Stars (honoring mechanical three-handed watches with no functions beyond a date and/or power-reserve indicator), Technical Stars (for mechanical watches with functio
This question is sort of along the lines of the "how to clean a jubilee band" thread. How do you all clean/polish the crystal on your Rolexes in your daily/weekly/whenever, maintenance? I use Meguiars plastic polish on a microfiber cloth. It does a decent job. It wont remove deep scratches but takes care of the little stuff pretty nicely. On a side note, when I first got my Submariner years ago I knew a guy who wore a GMT, and he told me when he was serving in Vietnam they used to tear the filter off of a new cigarette and use the end of it dipped in toothpaste and polish their crystals. I tried it a few times with pretty good results.
Hi Guys,Just wanted to say hi. I'm a big fan of this brand and have a quick question for you. I have a Jazzmaster Chrono and I noticed that the main seconds hand does not line straight up to 12. How difficult would it be for a watch maker to fix this and what would something like this cost to make this adjustment? Thanks.James
I have been wearing the ceramic diver 24/7 for about 10 days now, and it's even better than I expected, never had any ceramic piece before, the only ceramic I had was on bezels, Daytona, GMT and subs, 4 Rolex in all, and that's the most I've had.The material itself is really cool, smooth as baby skin if you drive your finger in the way of the vertical lines, but if you go against them you feel the lines. The weight is very reasonable, around 140 gr according to my kitchen scale, which makes it quite light for the size of it and gives great comfort, honestly I find it almost as comfy as my 5712, but just in a bigger watch.I may have to get the XS strap as my problem is that when I wear it the last hole is too tight, I like to wear 'em tight but it's a little too much, and if I put it in the second hole it's a little too loose, in fact the watch stays in place in the middle of the wrist because of the semi rigid rubber strap, but I like to feel the watch embracing my wrist, so even if it'
I've been planning this for a while and actually had to refrain from posting for the last couple of weeks, so I wouldn't go over the mark After spending years with the sports models exclusively, this one feels... special. That is the first word which came to my mind when putting it on for the first time. It gives off a very distinct feeling from, say, a 619 - which is amazing in a different kind of way, as the 619 is robust and sporty to the core. This one feels like it would also take anything you can throw at it, but with an elegance that few others possess. As for the 5k posts, my sincere thanks to the TRF family - Steve, moderators, forum sponsors and, especially, all the friends that I have had the privilege to make over the years. This is a truly unique community.
