Panerai PAM00525 wrist watches news:
We have grown to like - well, love - Sinn for their consistently high quality, very technical watches like the EZM 10 (reviewed here) or the T1 and T2 Dive?watches. With the Sinn?Model 1800 S Damaszener, the brand further?strengthens?its?dressier?line of watches, while also adding a twist to it all with the use of damascus steel for the case, case back, and dial.Damascus steel (or Damaszener Stahl in German), is a material seldom encountered in wrist watches ¨C and yet,?not unsurprisingly, Sinn still couldn't resist adding a twist to it nevertheless. For the Sinn Model 1800 S Damaszener, both the central, largest part of the case as well as the?dial have been cut from the same complete?block of steel, rather than from separate?pieces. This was done to allow?the unique light-dark-light pattern of damascus steel?to?seamlessly flow throughout the case and the dial. The dial also features thirteen applied indices which, along with the long, lumed hour and minute hands, should provide ample
This month on aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer you can enter to win a really interesting watch from MARCH LA.B. Proprietors of modern watches with a 1960's aesthetic, these watches can be summed up by explaining that they are designed by a hip Frenchman who has a penchant for classic American muscle cars. Up for grabs is an undeniably interesting watch in their AM1 collection. This particular model is 40mm wide in steel with a black dial and matching black lizard strap. The seconds hands is a cool racing green and the crystal on the back of the case showing them movement is also colored green. There is just a little bit more green on the uniquely designed crown. This model features a Swiss ETA 2892 automatic movement, but you can check out a previous review I did of a smaller version of the AM1 with a quartz movement here. Price for the MARCH LA.B AM1 40 Black Automatic watch is $2,295 and you can enter for a chance to win one below. To Enter You Must: 1. Comment on this post below (on aBlogtoR
Hello all,The other day I was wearing one of my vintage Seamasters and felt the bracelet start to slide from my wrist. Fortunately, I was wearing a sweater and was able to catch the watch before it fell to the floor. It turns out the spring bar that connects the bracelet to the clasp appears to be worn out. I tried removing the spring bar but the only thing that appeared were two end pieces and a spring. I know this sounds like a silly question, but is there suppose to be an actual bar there? Maybe the tube is stuck inside and just the end pieces and spring came out (?). Does anyone know where I can find a replacement? Here are a few snapshots and pertinent details:1977 Omega Seamastercase # 166 0206Bracelet # 1286/249photo(1).jpgphoto.jpg
Thoughts on this model? I figured out it's from 1935 but am a little stumped on the sub-second variation. Looks like a Hastings except for that sub-second. Am I right in assuming the crown has been replaced? I need to get a guide book soon. Too bad Mr. Rondeau's is $375 on Amazon 489026725_tp.jpg
Post your recommendation guys. I've set up a poll, but since I'm bound to leave out a few categories, feel free to mention it and I'll add them later :)Ps: Now guys, it's a multiple choice poll, but I'd request you to keep vote conservatively so that we can get a clear result :)
