As a watch lover you probably spend more time looking at watches rather than actually buying them. If we bought every watch we liked, assuming the outrageous possibility that we could afford it, we would not have any room in our homes for much else. Sometimes there is only so much you can learn about a watch from a website. A watch that looks good by itself, does not necessarily look good on one's wrist. The size of your wrist and skin tone can effect how an otherwise great watch can look on you. This comes out very clearly when you try on watches, as the feeling you have when you put a watch on range from, "no," to "yeah..." (coupled with a giddy smile). I've always admired pilot's watches, but many are too big for me. I was pretty much set on getting an Omega SMP in some form to fill the black dial void in my collection....until today. I saw the Fortis 610.10.11. It comes on the strap as shown at $1100 list or an oyster style bracelet at $1275 list.Here's my criteria:- 42 mm or less (preferably 36 - 39)- clean look (no chronographs)- decent lume (not mandatory though)I looked at many Hamilton, Sinn, and Ball watches, but this one seemed to grab my attention. Can anyone add a few suggestions for comparison purposes? Thanks.

Quartz vs. Automatic Omegas?
Hey there,I know this is a Rolex forum, but I happen to own more Omegas (2000's+) than Rolexes/Tudors at the moment... 5 Quartz, 1 Auto. What's with all the hate (or dislike, I should say) on quartz Omegas? I actually find them more convenient because you don't have to put them in a watch winder or wear them everyday.Speaking of which, how well do Quartz Omegas hold their value against Autos? I'm in the market for a new modern Seamaster but can't decide if the extra $$$ is worth it...Thanks in advance!
