Panerai Panerai 14185 wrist watches news:
i am about to buy this , what do you think for $1250.00?thanksJohn
First, what I know about this watch. It was given to my father sometime in the late 1950s, possibly as a college graduation gift. It sat in a dresser drawer for many years until about twenty years ago when he gave it to me when I expressed interest in it and said I'd have it serviced, which I did and I have worn it intermittantly since. A few months ago, I had another jeweler service it and he wrote down some info for me. The serial number is 10513675, which various websites show as 1957, so it fits chronologically where I thought it would. It is a 17 jewel, Longines 19AS movement. I don't believe the gold tone expansion bracelet is original, and I am also not sure about the acrylic crystal. It measures approximately 35mm across, including the semi-recessed crown. The only words on the front are "Longines" and "Automatic". The face has numerals at 12, 3, 6 & 9 with bars at the other positions. The face also has a really pretty, and I hope I have captured it, swirl pattern
Hi folks,Not an AP owner yet...This watch came up in a local sale website and no information was given other than an asking price. Can someone here identify the watch and model number so I can check it out? I don't know if it's a fake or not so please be gentle. I do very much like the look so any help from experts here is appreciated.I would also appreciate a ballpark figure for the value and service costs as it could be an old watch. Many thanks!
I really like the new 38mm speedy, especially in the ice blue dual, however, I believe that there will more colours coming out and would be interested to see them before spending any money.Any ideas when we will see them?
My favorite niece is 14 years old. She's smart, cute and a real sweet kid. My wife and I joined her and her parents for a trip to Disneyland a couple of weeks ago. That day I wore my relatively new Seamaster 300M GMT. She caught me catching her eyeing the watch and she said, That's a really cool watch, Uncle Wayne. I thanked her and as I'm showing her hour how the 4th hand works she says, Omega, wow, that's the official watch of the Olympics, cool.I guess Omega's advertising dollars were somewhat well spent this winter.
