- I was surprised when I received the watch -- it is so attractive on your wrist! I can wear it to work and to formal occasions, but I wouldn't wear it to kick around in. Received a lot of nice compliments!

Patek Philippe 3839/001 wrist watches news:
These are just back from my watchmaker and have the Longines 36,000vph high beat movement, 430 caliber. The 430 caliber versions seem to be rare, I've only seen a few. The gold filled model has been in my collection for many years and needed a COA. It sports a Longines leather band with a Longines buckle. The steel version is a recent acquisition and it has an original Longines bracelet made by JB Champion. I have a several 431 Ultra Chrons, but prefer these 430 "no date" models due to the simplicity of the dial and the classic round case.
My Citizen came over the weekend but I had to wait until today to get some links taken out since I have the approximate wrist size of an 8-year-old girl.Anyways, here's the proof. Forgive the iPhone pics:Got the perpetual calendar all set in time for the November-to-December changeover and it worked, so that was cool to see.I'm thinking next up is either a Citizen Nighthawk or an Orient, although I may spoil myself with a Tissot Le Locle or a Stowa Antea Creme.
Local shops over here tend not to have catalogues, not sure why but they just don't. I had seen them on sale on the bay and couldn't figure out why, so I sent a little email off to Swatch Group customer care. I figured they may send out one or maybe just ignore me, but only a couple of days later the doorbell rang and the wife answered and the postie was rather flustered and looking not too impressed at the weight of the envelope he had addressed to me. All credit to the Swatch group they only went and sent out a chunk of their latest catalogues, Omega x 3, Longines,Rado,Certina,Tissot. Not a big thing but I figure they deserve a little mention for their prompt customer care.
Does anyone have any info on the release date of this piece? I was told months ago that this would be released in late 2013 by Tiffany and Co. in NYC but failed to see it in this year's Baselworld line up or on Patek's site. Any info would be appreciated.
Does anyone have any advice on how to to minor strap adjustments? I have a Pam 90 and it used to fit perfectly but I've lost some weight and now all of my straps are too big. They are not big enough to go to the next hole in the strap and I certainly don't want to make a new hole myself...Any ideas? Many thanks.Scott
