Patek Philippe 4908/310G-011 wrist watches news:
The past few years have seen steady growth in the diameter of men's watches. In the 1950s, a dress watch was expected to be slim and small, the normal size being somewhere between 32 and 35mm wide. These days, anything less than 38mm is considered dainty, and even 50mm and beyond isn't unheard of.However, not everyone wants such a large watch, or for that matter, the bold styling that often accompanies it. These more traditional men seem to be the target market for Seiko's recently introduced line of four mechanical dress watches, all with classic styling and very conservative 36mm cases. They are based on the new 23-jewel 6R15B movement with both hand-winding and hacking, and are known as the Seiko Mechanical line.Click on the above text for the full article at WatchReportwatches-dealer. If one thing is certain about SIHH, it’s that it foreshadows Basel. And storming out of the gate for Pre-Basel 2015 is Blancpain’s new Villeret Grand Date. This watch is notable for a few reasons. There is a clever simplicity in applying the Aqualung’s (spotted here on Vladimir Putin’s wrist) signature date window to the Villeret. But, regardless of how clever and simple it may seem, applying such a window has the potential to go horribly wrong. Thankfully, Blancpain seems to have gotten it right.Earlier in the year, we celebrated Blancpain’s New NYC Boutique. In said article you’ll find a wristshot of the current Villeret with the date at 3 o’clock. While that design works, the Grand Date at 6 o’clock takes the design in a different direction. Notice that the opaline/crème-like shaded dial spans the date window as well. The printing of the date is bold, curvaceous, accentuated and now symmetrical to the Blancpain logo up top. &nbs
Hello to all Hamilton Forum members. I am very pleased to have found a Hamilton forum, especially one that has lots of vintage fans. I've been in love with Hamiltons since my early teens and got my first in 1992. It was a white gold plated Ventura that my mom bought me for high school graduation and it still sees frequent wrist time. I would like to post pictures of my Hamilton collection and was wondering what kind of cameras people here use. I'm not a photo guy and only have a simple Sony digital for snapshots (I've tried it with my watches to no avail). Anyhow, happy to finally be posting here. Since I can't post a photo I will simply share a list of my current Hamiltons (the search continues!).
