Rado R12694153 wrist watches news:
Hi Everybody, can someone please settle an argument for me that I have with this guy I work with?..........A colleague of mine claims to have a fake Rolex, which I have never seen. He also claims that only a trained jeweller by taking the back off can tell if it's genuine or fake because it's all Swiss made and impossible to tell the difference by looking or touching. He claims to have paid $1000 for a Green Bezel Submariner, I think it's a load of
I'm ready for my closeup Mr. DeMilleHere are a couple of glamore shots of my new Waltham. It took several tries to find a strap that wouldn't pop the bezel off of the back. I still have to store it buckled instead of hanging with my other watches in rotation. The original 17j 887 movement wouldn't run for me. It gets to sit in the drawer until I can find a replacement balance. The successor of the 887, the 870, is a little thicker movement and will not fit in the case. I'm not sure the balances will transplant. This 21j 887 Premier will have to take it's place for now. Too nice to be a donor.Joel
Just finished putting the finishing touches on the Garfield. Looks to be a mid-50s watch. Not only did it get a new crystal, I found a NOS dial. It doesn't have the original band, but I put it on a period Hadley I had laying around.Looks like I need NOS fingers as well
I posted this in the vintage Rolex section but was just reminded I should post in here too. In the collection is a rare and beautiful vintage Panerai shown with its Rolex movement. Enjoy
Hi,Bought my self an EX II from 91 (N Serial#). Unfortunately I did not pay enough attention to the clasp. After receiving it, I was a little bit surprised that an Oysterclasp was attached. Strabge thing is that it fits to the watch (from the year pont of view). It is a P Serial, also 92.Would it be possible that the first buyer had the clasp changed by the AD, or did someone just replace the upper part of the clasp?Could someone tell me which clasp should be installed?
