The “1/1” unique piece status appears on the dial next to the date. The hands are red gold. The watch case bears a special Only Watch engraved inscription, and the watch is accompanied by a unique wood case created as a tribute to marine chronometer housings of the past, and a special certificate. The wish price for this piece is 30,000 – 50,000 euros. The Only Watch 2011 charity auction will take place on September 23 during the
Does anyone know how I start the process for sending a watch for service and refurbishment to Omega in Bienne. Referencing my vintage I bought I am thinking if original I am sending it off for a service and paperwork to back it up. If anyone has anymore info please post as well anything on my vintage post is great.
I found an old pocket watch by Richard Clayton Cincinnati in a box of family heirlooms. What very little I know about it is that it might have been built between 1834 - 1859 and that Clayton was a silversmith/watchmaker as well as a very well known balloonist c. 1830s. Does anybody know anything about these watches? Any idea what it would have cost when new? (This answer could solve a family mystery...) Many thanks for any information.. 100_1439.jpg
I'm thinking about buying a Seiko Spirit, and though I've heard nothing but great things about it, I'd like to know a little more before I spend the cash. Does anyone know of any good reviews of the Seiko Spirit? Specifically, I'm looking to see how it compares with other watches in the price range ($350). From what I've seen so far, the Seiko Spirit is the best quality watch for that price (other watches go $400+), but I'd like to be sure. If you're experienced with the watch, please post your thoughts.
I'm guessing most people on this forum aren't into designer watches, but I got this as a gift last year and I really like the look and feel. It's a quartz analogue movement with mineral crystal and it measures 43mm across. Let me know what you guys think.
