Rado R28886182 wrist watches news:
It is not news that Cartier released their new collection, Clé de Cartier, earlier this year. HODINKEE actually did a wonderful review on the men's collection in February – however I want to further explore the women’s pieces in the collection. 1 OF 11 You may have noticed that women’s watches are having a moment. With brands focusing the majority of their marketing towards attracting female buyers, women are wearing watches more than ever. Additionally, fashion editorials are featuring wristwatches in more advertisements and accessory spreads than in previous years, and not just women’s watches, men's watches – think pink-gold AP Royal Oaks and Panerais. 2 OF 11 Cartier is one of the most influential and recognizable brands in the industry and has a rich history of producing classic women’s watches. The chances are very high that Cartier was the first watch brand that you ever heard of – that or Rolex
Hi , I am total newbie here. To start, I was just thinking of buying a new watch in $500 range and decided to stop by and chat with a local watchmaker here in Vancouver, Canada. After conversation got going, he asked me if I would be interested in a couple of vintage Omega watches he was selling personally. I know nothing about vintage Omegas and would really appreciate any advice, value suggestions, or any other helpful information. Here is what he is offering:1) Omega Geneve automatic with date, circa ?68-?69. Caliber 565, 24 jewels, serial #28XXXXXX, case #166.041 He will replace crystal since the one right now is not the right one, he will put new crown, one year warranty, no bracelet, he is asking around CAD$550.2) Omega Seamaster automatic with date, circa ?56-?57. Caliber 503, 20 jewels, serial #15XXXXXX, case #2849-3. He will replace crystal, clean up the dial a bit, one year warranty, no bracelet, he is asking the same around CAD$550.What do you guys think? Good/bad value? If
Just a few days ago I received a nice package from good folks at Patek Philippe. It contained all press releases and DVDs from Basel 2009. Of course I read all of them cover-to-cover and will be posting some neat pictures soon, but I thought I would share some interesting numbers with you. Many of these numbers are well know but perhaps some of you are new to the brand and will enjoy new info: - PP offers currently 20 base calibers (14 for wristwatches, 6 for pocket watches) - currently offering 45 movement types or derivations of base movements - inventory includes 7000+ different parts - about 10,000,000 components are required each year for production - factory uses only about 230 state of the art precision production machines as hand production and assembly prevail - Annual production is about 40,000 watches (roughly 30,000 mechanical and 10,000 ladies quartz models) - total number of employees: 1300 - total number of watchmakers: only about 200 - Distribution: about 500 retailers i

What do you guys think about the 15450ST?Tried one the other day and I thought it was fantastic. I have slightly less than 6 inch wrists and am thinking the 41mm would be too large. Curious for honest opinions if this would be the best one for my 'size' and how it looks on me. Also I am really curious about the water resistance. Their website says it has a screw lock crown, what does that mean? How many seals are there and really what does that mean for my lifestyle? I wear Rolex and Omega in the shower, hot tub and ocean because I hate taking my watches off and enjoy being able to do those things. Would this watch stand up to the task, or is it a watch you need to baby? Thanks guys! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
