Richard Mille RM-016 wrist watches news:
Angular, functional, faded jeans for the wrist. The C1 Vintage stainless steel case receives a blue PVD coating, giving it a deep gunmetal color. Then it’s placed in a vibrating drum along with deburring chips, water and a detergent compound and subjected to over two hours of friction and rotation. The result is a shotblasted patina that mimics years of wear. Add a distressed leather strap and you’ve got a great looking mean blue time machine. The C1 Vintage chronograph retails for $13,900. Ever since OMEGA launched its first Co-Axial Escapement, the cal 2500 in 1999, it sowed the seeds of a new dawn in modern mechanical watchmaking. In the words of its’ inventor George Daniels, the Co-Axial escapement was “.....the first practical new watch escapement in the 250 years following the invention of the lever escapement by Thomas Mudge in the 18th century.” Not content with leaving it there, OMEGA introduced its own Co-Axial calibre, the 8500/8501 in 2007. I stress “ New “ since each component was designed specifically for the new calibre from inception. Taking it another step further, OMEGA optimised the precision of their Co-Axial Escapement and free sprung balance by improving the design and utilizing a larger (13-ligne) movement. In its’ quest to create state-of-the-industry mechanical watches produced on an industrial scale, OMEGA developed the Si 14 silicon balance-spring, its’ name inspired by the chemical symbol and the atom

It is currently illegal in CA to import certain animal parts for commercial purposes. But, starting 2015, these animals will include crocodiles or alligators... What will the manufacturers do on their watches that currently carry these type of animals on the straps by the year 2015? A few examples would be AP ROO and their hornback straps... or Panerai and their gator straps. Will manufacturers be forced to put a different kind of straps on these watches when they send them to California? Seems crazy to customize watches to that point just for the state of California. What do you think? Citation: CA PENAL ¡ì 653o - 653r Citation: West's Ann. Cal. Penal Code ¡ì 653o - 653r Summary: These California laws relate to the importation of certain animals parts for commercial purposes. Under the law, it is unlawful to import into this state for commercial purposes, to possess with intent to sell, or to sell within the state, the dead body, or any part or product thereof, of any polar bear, le
