New member...own a few, want some more, would love advice
Hello,I've been meaning to join for a while and glad I did. I've loved watches since I was a kid. I have quite a few Citizens, Seikos, and a Tag automatic.So the watch of my dreams was the Breitling Superocean Steelfish (I like the Superocean Chronograph II equally as much). So I have been saving for this watch for years. And I had enough to buy it...and then I spent it all on college tuition (I am pursuing a doctorate). I know it was the right thing to do, but it still burns.It seems there are a lot of cool watches out there and I have a lot to read here, so I figure if I ever do get my Breitling, then I can at least be sure it is the watch I really want before getting it.I have been eyeing the Citizen bl5440-58e (Signature Courageous Perpetual Calendar Chronograph)...it seems not many are out there. Anyone seen one/owned one?So anyway, just wanted to say hi!

PP 5205 annual calendar problem
I have a new annual calendar 5205 and I noticed that while today is December 1 the month is still showing November. The date correctly changed to the 1st but not the month.Is this normal or should the month of changed automatically even in a 30 day month?Thanks.

How Many Automatics Do You Own?
I have Six, two Seiko, two Rolex, an Invicta, and Armitron skeleton I purchased at Walmart.One in five of my watches are automaticsThe Invicta came yesterday, Pro Diver 4347 Heavy watch 300 meters water resistant. Band is cheep, but the watch seems well made. Makes you wonder about a company that would saddle you with a cheep band. The Armitron has a nice heavy band.

Service & Store or Just Store? - Omega Dynamic Chrono
Hey Folks,I've been organizing my safe and came across my first nice watch ever, given to me as a gift from my parents almost 20 years ago. This discontinued Omega Dynamic Chronograph has never been serviced and is definitely not functioning correctly.For starters, the timing is all over the place and chronograph will not reset properly.I stopped in the Omega Boutique a couple years ago and they told me it would be about $800 for the full service if I remember correctly. That seemed ludicrous to me, to invest that much money in a watch that's probably only worth a few hundred dollars more.So here's the thing, I never wear this watch. It's been in a safe one way or another for the past 10+ years. I of course care about it, and perhaps would wear it once and a while if it was functioning correctly. But for the most part this watch is stored in the safe 24/7.Here's my questions for you folks:Should I simply put the watch back in the safe since it's not really worn or should I service

Yes, this is another BLRO thread...and yes I am a Rolex and TRF NEWB.I have to give credit where credit is due, and I give Rolex a ton of credit for releasing the BLRO in SS, even if it comes on a jubilee. In terms of consumer goods, this release is right up there with any marketing strategy in recent memory. Rolex took an iconic piece and poked the bear while only offering it in WG. Sure, those who could afford the WG BLRO were thrilled, however this decision had the masses in an uproar for 4 long years. Had many people begging for a BLRO in SS, and WHAM now we have one. We may never know if Rolex intended it this way before they released the WG BLRO 4 years ago, but the demand and buildup for the SS Pepsi was 4 years in the making. I believe Rolex knew what they were doing on this one, and imo this strategy will pay huge dividends for them.
