TAG Heuer WP131P wrist watches news:
We knew it was coming because we saw a prototype, but for 2014 Tissot will finally release the light-powered version of their T-Touch. Earlier in 2013, we brought you a preview of the new T-Touch Expert Solar from Tissot. They've just released the watch now at BaselWorld 2014, and it definitely looks like it's the "watch to beat" when it comes to an outdoor watch from a Swiss brand. Many people have come to love Tissot's over a decade-old T-Touch collection for its style, functionality, and character. The Japanese may have them beat in terms of functionality for a while, but Tissot finally catches up with a cool new collection.UPDATE (03-30 2014): We've added the hands-on video from Baselworld 2014The T-Touch line is known for the way you interact with the piece, via touches to the sapphire crystal. The T-Touch Expert has long offered the full complement of ABC (altimeter/barometer/compass) instrumentation we've come to expect from tech-oriented outdoors watches. The one big edge the c
Back in mid-February we took a look at another batch of new watches and brands that were seeking initial funding via one of the crowdfunding methods. They have all gone through their funding campaigns and now it is time to see how many of them were successful, and how many were not. There were a total of six watches that we covered last time and here is how each of them faired.Burel Class Cape Watch – Funding UnsuccessfulThe Class Cape was the hopeful new model for Burel, who was an existing brand with two models under its belt before starting this particular Indiegogo campaign. The nautical inspired Class Cape had no hands and instead used a red line superimposed on the crystal with the time read via the rotating dial. The movement chosen for the Class Cape is the Swiss ETA 6498 hand-wind movement. To get the Class Cape off the ground Burel was seeking $10,000; at the end of the campaign the total pledged was $5,145. Although the funding campaign was unsuccessful it appears Bure
I have been enjoying the vintage side of life lately and have wanted to add a Power Reserve complication to the collection. I did some scouting around on new, used and vintage watches. I came close to pulling the trigger on an Orient (they have some very nice Power Reserve complication watches) but held off. I followed some vintage auctions and placed bids here and there. During this process I found I liked some of the older Zodiac watches. During one of my searches, I found what I thought might be a diamond in the rough.Seller Pictures:Hard to know for sure - but something told me this watch was in better shape than the pictures showed.Movement looked fairly clean.Crown looked like it could be original.Caseback was in pretty good shape. Lugs and case did not appear to be abused too much.I decided to take the gamble and I made an offer. Offer accepted, watch on the way. I was pretty pleased when the watch showed up. I couldn't get the case back off - but as I suspected, the wa
I just made my first purchase on TRF and couldn't be more pleased. What do you think?
Hello allI had some time ago the 3800 in two tone which I really liked however it was just too small for my now 8 wrist. I have been considering picking up another Nautilus but am somewhat confused with the various measurements purported on various sales sites.Would someone be able to let me know what the largest case size Nautilus are either current or older models, and if there was more than one size in the earlier two tones which I really like? For example I see some listed as Jumbo??Any help appreciatedThanks
