TAG Heuer CAF101F.FT8011 wrist watches news:
The Breitling Colt collection ¡ª introduced in the 1980s and intended, as were its predecessors, the Breitling Navitimer and Breitling Chronomat, as military watches ¡ª has been revamped this year. The new Breitling Colt watches include models for men and ladies, with both quartz and automatic movements, including a quartz chronograph.Colt was born in the 1980s and initially intended for the armed forces ¨C like other Breitling watches such as the Navitimer and the Chronomat ¨C before winning over a broad audience through its sturdiness, its reliability and its readability. It has since established itself as the most accessible Breitling model. The newly revamped Colt features a design that reinterprets all the essential assets on which it has built its success. The broad unidirectional rotating bezel with a satin-brushed finish and engraved hour-markers is adorned with four rider tabs ¨C a Breitling signature feature ¨C ensuring excellent handling as well as enhanced protection of the sapph
I often read about some members getting "compliments" on their watches. This has happened to me ,perhaps, three times in 25 years and, each time, it was from someone who was familiar with watches.Today I wore 2 watches. One was the Omega Planet Ocean (orange bezel) which IMHO is a beautiful timepiece but not a real attention grabber among the non-WIS community. The other was a nice looking CF dial chrono. The CF dial really jumps out ,nearly to the point of overpowering the rest of the dial.It dawned on me that 90% of my collection was very traditional as far as watch design is concerned and that may be why I get few comments. (which I prefer)Upon looking at the other 10% I saw that they were the Big,MOP,CF dials,or odd shaped that ,although pretty, were not something that I view as a major factor in buying a watch. They are more jewelry ingredients than watch design to me.I suppose that I am an old school watch guy who enjoys his watches as timepieces over jewelry.
Ok Omega aficionados... here is a question for you. Assuming that the Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch is clearly an Omega Icon (if not The Icon) which model would be next in line and why? I am interested in the different opinions, history, etc...Thanks in advance for the input.
I am sure many of you have seen these but I wanted to share with anyone who has not. 1910.jpgAd1895_p227_DIeu_Chronos.jpgAd1904_p672_aJ04_temple_Grec.jpgAd1906_p066_ann__Jamais_Omega_ne_varie.jpgAd1907_p065_ann__main.jpgAd1912_p233_Lepine_boitier_lentille.jpgAd1915_p106_ann__brac_radium.jpgAd1924_p686_aJ24_all.jpgAd1927_p085_ann_double_page_coul.jpgAd1933_p120_a (1).jpg
Received my first Panerai today. Sold the Presidential back to the original owners family (which is nice they can keep it in the family. Had it for 4+yrs) and picked up a gorgeous 388. It was a pleasure doing business with DonnieD. I can't stop taking pictures and staring at it. I was going to do some day trading again and pick up another Presidential but based on this experience, I might just stick with PAM's :) Is there anything I should know about it? Any hints for a newbie Paneristi? It's only 1 yr old and came with everything :) Don even threw in another strap and the strap tool!A
