This is the third rolex I have owned (the other two being a no date sub and SD which I have since let go). I never thought I would get another rolex yet alone a DJ since I have tried to focus my collecting on JLC alone. BUT on a recent trip to a popular watch store in NYC the manager, who I have become good friends with, suggested I try on a DJ (116200) just for ��fun��, as he put it. I was pleasantly surprised by the watch and I left the store with that tingling feeling and could not stop thinking about it for a few hours (well a few days), but fortunately a week later a mint 116200 was listed on another forum for a steal and needless to say, I jumped on it! My initial impressions are very positive. I love the size being a fan of <40mm watches. The dial is tasteful and easy to read. The main reason though I jumped on it was that I needed a watch with a bracelet for the summer since all my watches have straps and as everyone knows straps and humidity aren��t a great mixture. My Datejust 16233 on an Everest Crocodile Strap
I've owned my circa 1988 16233 TT DJ since the early 2000's. Always had it on its Jubilee bracelet and wanted to try something new...I think it turned out well. I really like this brown crocodile Everest strap. IMO, it is up to the quality level to be on a Rolex.
