TAG Heuer CAR2110.BA0720 wrist watches news:
Watchmaker Louis Erard founded his eponymous watch brand in 1931 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. Now based in Le Noirmont in the Jura Valley, the brand has reinvented its collections in recent years under new CEO Alain Spinedi, offering a focus on mechanical movements with classical complications (and a particular emphasis on regulators) at affordable prices. Here we present highlights from Louis Erard’s two major men’s watch collections, Excellence and 1931.The Louis Erard Excellence collection is considered the brand’s flagship, and one of its signature pieces is the new Excellence Automatic Regulator, the collection’s first regulator-dial timepiece with a self-winding movement (previous models had all been manual-winding). It has a contemporary 42-mm-diameter case (water-resistant to 50 meters) in polished stainless steel and is powered by the Sellita SW200 caliber with a Dubois De?praz 14072 module. The dial options are silver-tone (Ref. 86 236 AA 01, pic
Did you look up at the sky last night? If not, you just missed a totally amazing lunar eclipse. It was not just any eclipse – it was a complete lunar eclipse with a super moon, or perigee-syzygy of the Earth-Moon-Sun system, as the astronomers like to call it. Of course a syzygy – alignment of the sun, the earth, and the moon – happens every new and full moon, but to have an eclipse when the full moon is at its closest to the Earth is something that will not happen again until October 8, 2033. For the occasion of what is also referred to as a blood moon, HODINKEE sent journalist Mr. Anders Modig to moon-phase, moon-face maestro Stepan Sarpaneva, the independent watchmaker based in Helsinki, Finland. Just before the eclipse, Sarpaneva was freaking out. 1 OF 7 “In general I am super-sensitive to the moon, strange vibrations. This whole week I have really felt the moon rising. And now there is an eclipse coming? I don’t want to think about it;
Ok here's the situation: I own two Seamaster 300M models, the 2254.50 (automatic) and the 2264.50 (same model, quartz version).I can only keep one of these two and although I've never left the quartz realm, now I'm really thinking of keeping the automatic version. However, there are some things that seem to cause trouble to my decision. So here we go:1. Is it true that any sudden moves of the hand like shakes or accidental hits on hard surfaces might compromise the automatic's accuracy? Will the quartz suffer from similar issues? Will a simple drop on the floor render the mechanism useless? Omega notes that these watches can withstand shocks up to 5000g. What's this?The whole thing about accidental hits and various hand movements of everyday activities that could damage the mechanism is really crucial to me. I thought that the Seamaster is built to withstand almost any difficult conditions and I wish this still is true :rolleyes:I'm not a road worker and I don't do any wall drilling sp
Like some of you I'm sure, in my travels I've been fortunate to see several Omegas in particular divers of different styles and in various sizes worn by both ladies and gents. The most prolific model has to be the Bond followed by the 2254.50 though I've seen Constellations as well, gracefully adorning various wrists. Mainly the Connie 95 style though. I've not as yet seen any Double Eagles. Speedies get their share of being spotted again here in both ladies and gents' models. The Ladies' model is truly impressive in the flesh or should that be on flesh I have to say I've been delighted to see an increasing number of Aqua Terras too and once saw someone having one nearly like that which I had. I say nearly because of those unique Railmaster hands on mine. De Villes because of their more dress-style character are more of a rarity as you'd expect and I've only seen a chronometer and a GMT, both with black dials.It brought home to me what had been discussed recently in Seandavid's thre
It's a very handsome watch,I love it so much
