- It's nice! I wish the band was black all around, the inside is beige. I did get the suggestion to change the band but i did not want to pay for a watch and then pay again to change it. Other than that its great.

TAG Heuer CJF1310.BA0580 wrist watches news:
I bought my SMP 2220.80 in January 2009 and it's been running about +10 seconds per day. I asked my AD if I can send it into Omega under warranty for regulating and he told me that +10s/day is OK even for chronometers in the first few months of the watch's life. He said that the fact it's winter where we are the components in the movement won't work ideally. Am I being lied to by an AD who's simply too lazy to send my watch into Omega for me? My instinct is just to visit the local Swatch Group office and drop off the watch myself for regulatingments? Thanks in advance.
Got it last Friday! I love it! Will post more pictures soon!
Got the call today!
The ESA 9162/4 (and variants) was called the "Rolls-Royce" of tuning fork movements by Rob Berkavicius for good reason. The movements are rugged, highly accurate and used in the 1970's by brands such as Omega, Certina, Movado, Longines, IWC and others. Some manufacturers such as Omega were able to obtain Chronometer certification. The Achilles heel of the movement is the calendar wheel. Constructed from brittle plastic, great care must be exercised in changing the date or damage to the wheel will occur. Having destroyed a couple of date wheels I finally obtained some expert advise from John Schult (Budget Accutron) as to how to properly set the date. He advised..."set the time to 6:00(am or pm) then you can quick-set the day and date. After that, turn back to correct time." So tomorrow my Movado and Omega will get a date advance without destroying anything!the plastic date wheel
Hey guys, I got good advice from you on my last post, and I did some serious follow-up research around jewelery watch shops in HK. Got some (perhaps too novice!) questions, but appreciate if you can shed some light..1/ Am surprised most of the shops I visited are not AD. Is it generally preferable to buy from AD - though I suspect they will offer less discount?2/ What's the standard cash price discount i can expect off listed price? Thanks!
