Tag Heuer CAL2110.FC6257 wrist watches news:
Hi guys, I am looking at getting a PAM312, mainly because the 320 would be my third GMT so I am a bit over it, and pretty much the same for the crono. Plus, I think the clean face of the PAM looks really nice, specially without magnification on the date. I just a have a few doubts with regards the 1950 collection. Is the main difference the fact that these watches have a full Panerai movement? I have also noticed small changes on the case. Moreover, is the new movement any good compared to the old ETA? I can only assume it is. I have noticed that overall, they are not much more expensive than the ones with the regular movement, so that is I am asking the question since I would imagine that a full in-house made watch would be a lot more unique. Anyway, looking forward to your Panerai-expert comments. Best, Guillermo
Which one do you like the most?Watchadoo Bracelet or Leather strapalso do you think is a good combination? blue with brown?I think that the strap give the watch a more vintage look, and has a more "equilibrated" lookOpinions please
Someone asked this question in the Omega forum. I figured I'd ask it here. The criteria for your answer:1) Functionality as a tool.2) Quality of construction - again we're talking tools, not desk divers. My answer from personal experience is a 1980s vintage Casio dive watch I actually used when I dove. Very easy to read, built in timer, some other stuff and a rubber strap. Took a beating - and survived. My Clerc CXX Scuba (new to me), my Omega SMP, Tudor Submariners, Invicta Pro Divers, Seiko 6R15 Diver etc. seem rugged, but they're jewelry - to me - not real tools. At least by comparison to the Casio.
I dont know enough about watches to say anything technical, but these are two great watches. The Rolex GMT II Pepsi is a stone classic. The Omega Seamaster GMT is a classic in waiting.Lol X and Perdu have both done great reviews of the Omega recently, so I will just add a couple of my own observations.....Bezel....Rolex wins easily. Both in the colour combo and ease of use. That coin edge bezel will never be bettered !Lume...Omega wins by a street. I was always surprised at how poor the lume was on both my Rollies. Now I've got an Omega I can actually see the time in the dark as well.Date feature....I loath and detest the Rolex cyclops, so its a fantastic change to see the date without having to angle the cyclops just right.Size and weight....the Omega is slightly bigger (41.5mm to 40mm) and heavier than the Rolex. This is no bad thing, but is not really a factor one way or the other. Its only when you place them side by side that you really notice it.Caseback.....the engraved caseback on t
New to Panerai and will have a chance soon from an AD with what my title states. I know getting 20% off on a new Breitling isn't good enough (for me), but what about a new Panerai? Thanks in advance.
