A few months ago, I wrote an article about a Swiss brand that had quietly developed their own, fully independent (nothing from ETA, Swatch, etc¡) serially produceable automatic movement over the course of 7 years. At first, I didn't really believe what I saw, but after reading up and speaking to one of the owners of the brand, I was amazed. They were really doing something extraordinary, though not many people, at least in the US-blogosphere, were talking about them.The brand was Horage, and their goal was to kickstart a line of watches that used their in-house movement the K1. One of these days I'll take the time to figure out how to actually post photos rather than thumbnails...Tissot LeLocle - every bit as nice as I'd hoped!Oris BC3 - a couple more scratches than I anticipated, but no more than I'd put on it myself, since I intend for this to be a wear anywhere for just about anything except "dress" watch.Sorry for the poor lighting, these were quickies. I still haven't made myself a light box. Ignore the first of the Tissot - it's more out of focus than I first thought...

Hi guys ^^First of all, I would like to introduce myself. I'm a male from Malaysia. I'm 23 years old and just started working few weeks ago in oil and gas company.I'm planning to buy a watch this week. The problem is, I don't know which one to choose. Here are the criteria of the watch that I'm hoping to buy. Hopefully you guys can help me. My max budget for the watch is USD450. I will wear the watch mainly during office hour, together with formal clothing (shirts, slacks, black leather shoes, etc). I'm also planning to wear the watch during my casual time with friends as well as when I'm going shopping (wearing tshirts, jeans, sandals or shoes). I'm not planning to wear it while I'm having exercise or during swimming.I'm so in love with square watches. This is because most of the round watches are too big for me (my wrist width is only 6cm, thickness 5cm). But I don't mind if you guys know any round watches that will suit my small wrist. As for the strap, I think it will play the majo
