Tudor 70330N. wrist watches news:
Guillaume N¨¦ry stunned the world with the release of his 2010 short film Free Fall. In it, the world-champion French free diver and Ball Watches brand ambassador explores the depths of the sea within "Dean's Blue Hole" - the deepest such ocean cavity in the world. The resulting cinematic experience became a spectacular viral video: if you haven't seen it yet, it will blow your mind. (We've included it at the bottom of the post, just in case you're not one of the near 21,000,000 people who've seen it on YouTube.) And now?N¨¦ry is back with a new film, Ocean Gravity (above), following in the wake of some stunning watch collaborations.Ball Ambassador Guillaume N¨¦ry & His Limited Edition Watches (image: iWmagazinewatches-dealer)N¨¦ry launched his pro career with his 2002 record descent of 87 meters, with Ball sponsorship following in 2006. This is a wonderful question, that deserves a careful response. Before we can talk about the natural escapement, let's get on the same page about what an escapement does. In a mechanical wristwatch, an escapement translates rotational energy into lateral impulses that is, it turns the rotating of gears into the back-and-forth movement of the balance wheel. There are lots of different types of escapements, but the most popular (by far) is the lever escapement. The lever escapement gives the balance wheel a push in each direction, causing it to oscillate until the watch runs out of power. Laurent Ferrier's natural escapement in action The lever escapement does this by introducing a lever (the pallet fork) in between the escape wheel and balance staff. The lever escapement is so popular because it is easy to manufacture and adjust, while being very sturdy. The problem with the lever escapement is that the type of push, or impulse, that it uses produces s
I'm new to this forum and registered hoping you guys can help me.I've been in the market for a new watch and fell in love with a Longines I saw in a mall jewelry store. I think it's from the Flagship collection, L4.718.4.52.6. The list price on the watch was $1900.00 but they were selling it for about half that. I almost bought it on the spot but my wife convinced me to investigate. I did an online search for that model number and came up with a massive amount of replicas of that particular watch. The mall jewelry store is not an authorized dealer and now I'm concerned that the watch, for that price, may be a replica. What are the chances and how can I tell?
I saw this on the Rolex website and their partnership with National Geographic. They have formed an enhanced new partnership to promote exploration and conservation. Could Rolex come out with a white dial tribute type watch that pays homage, which is not the Explorer I? Just a thought...If they did the watch would look amazing!( I know monochrome did a Explorer I white dial mock but I like the version below better without the 3-6-9)
