U-Boat 2084 wrist watches news:
I have a watch that uses kinetic energy or whatever its called. The watch is a zodiac super sea dragon. I did not have it in a winder so I need to manually wind it, It does not say how to in the instructions and I know this is pretty newbie but how do I manually wind it, I cannot figure it out. Its usually on the first setting but that does not work.
Hello All - I recently purchased a couple of WWI Trench Watches & joined this forum to learn more about them but they have not arrived yet. In the mean time I wanted to share this Letter I recently purchased. I think others will appreciate seeing it. Typed letter dated Jan. 21 1943 , From General George Stratemeyer ( U.S. Army Air Force Chief of Air Staff ) Written in response to Mrs. Heil regarding the transport of a Chronograph Watch to her Husband serving overseas.

Does anyone here ever let their auto's wind completely out? I'm just curious 'cause I'm having problems with mine again, (the Guess from my sig) where it sometimes will stop for a few hours or sometimes end up a few minutes behind, for no apparent reason . I have dropped it in the past, and tapped it off the occasional doorknob/wall.A while back I let it wind completely out and rewound it to full and it was dead on (+4 seconds/day, iirc ), and it was perfect for a few weeks and now it's starting to lag a few minutes, sometimes a few hours. Just a random thought I just had, may be sleep deprivation, may be a good idea (at least till I can get it to a good watch shop ).
With all these stories getting out of control about waiting lists and customers getting their watches years later. What purchase wait time would you actually be comfortable with? I believe a 6 month wait would be acceptable for a popular model. What about you?
