- Appears well made. Band appears strong and well designed, unlike timex bands which rarely last more than a year. Con: band too large for a women's wrist.

Ulysse Nardin 8152-111-2/5GF wrist watches news:
Stumbled across this and it got me to thinking. watchtalkforums.info/forums/showthread.php?t=244I've been looking into a Breitling Chronomat, which I believe is rated for 30m. Now I spend A LOT of time at the lake in the summer. No diving or snorkeling, just a lot of jumping off the boat and floating around and swimming. Reading this makes me a little leary that 30m won't really cut it. Do I need to start focusing on a heavier rated model (something with screw downs)? My whole point of getting a Breitling is that I don't want to have to worry about itever. Or is this other thread just playing it extremely safe? This is getting into a price range that I REALLY don't want to have to worry about things like water damage.Thoughts?

Hello, to date I have been just a Rolex and old pocket watch kind of guy. But, the Orange Planet Ocean really has my attention. The problem is I cannot figure out what is what. It seems there are two sizes. 42mm and 45.5mm. Then it seems like there is a new in house 8500 movement as opposed to an older 2500 or 2900(?) movement that may be an ETA. When I look on eBay, some of them have many bids and some no bids. On this forum the Planet Oceans seem to sell right away. I called a dealer some 75 miles from where I live and he said he has a new 8500 42mm for $4500. I probably have no interest in a new one. Especially at that price. So I seem to have done as much research as I can but still really have no clear idea as to what is out there and what I would be buying. Any enlightenment that some of you could give me on what seems a myriad of choices would be welcome.
So, I think the PP bug has bitten me. I just got the 5167a (as you my hv read my last post) and really enjoy it. Now, I'm thinking nautilus too, as the SS bracelet wold nicely complement the rubber on the 5167a. However, I feel that if I get the nautilus there would be too much aesthetic overlap with my Rolexes - white SS Daytona and GV. Essentially, the stainless bracelet, PCL, etc, all combine to create a very similar overall look. So, two part question:1) should I sell the Daytona and GV to fund a nautilus. I'd be left with my 5167a and a yellow dial Breitling SuperOcean (beater). Or, just save up for the nautilus. Or, maybe just relax a little and wait it out?2) if I proceed, which nautilus? Blue 5711 (because it's classic and hard-to-find); white 5711 (which I like, but worry about whether i'd like the white dial once a own the watch); blue 5712 (because it adds a complication at little incremental cost); black 5726 (because the annual calendar is cool, but incremental cost is hig
Hi all I was wondering with all the problems that can faced with magnetisation and such. Should have any concerns putting a watch into an x-ray machine. Possibly a very outdated noob question but I'm learning. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
