Temption CGK205 Version 2 Watch
German brand Temption is a boutique watch maker that I like to follow. With very few new releases each year, this is one of the ultimate "in the know" brands that won't require your life savings to buy. For 2012 the main new release is a slight update/variation on the long standing CGK range. This one is called the CGK205 Version 2. Why not the CGK206? Probably just not enough new about it to go that far. I would just have called it the CGK205.5.This Version 2 is based on the CGK205 which I first covered here and then did a hands-on article with the CGK205 among other pieces here. As far as I can tell the new version has merely a new dial - which is almost a hybrid between the CGK204/205 and the earlier CGK203.Legibility on a watch like this is very high. Ever since the prominence of the Omega Speedmaster (for instance) high contrast black and white dials have made a strong case for themselves. Hello everybody,I visited the AD this afternoon as I was looking for an extra strap for my breitling, and i saw this aquatimer which I feel really thrilled about it..The AD did let me wear it on the wrist and it really talks ( :D if you know what i mean) .. wow! very light and very comfortable to wear for everyday watch for not too bling-bling as I believe not many will recognize it. ( well , compare to Rolex stuffs and other brands ) What do you think about this model ? do you think it has quite respected value as well among WIS ? Any information re the price ? Looking to see what the major differences are in the Navitimer World vs. Navitimer 01. Am looking at used or new watches and like the silver bands. I think the two two serial numbers are world and the bottom is 01 but what are the differences in these? I think the top three are versions of the world and the bottom is a 01? Stem Length
I have an Omega 2512.30 that needed a new crown and stem. I ordered from Otto Frei and the stem is not cut to the correct length. Any one know what the length of the stem should be, the old stem no longer exists. Other times I have gotten replacement stems they were the correct length. Anyone ever cut down a stem to fit and can tell me how to measure for the correct length. Thanks in advance for any help.ThanksJohn
