- Great idea - no more scratched lenses, easy to read on my belt - even without my glasses. Has already taken a good beating, but it keeps perfect time.

- Where is the sparkle, I didn't see any. I was very disapointed in this and sent it back. Why does everything have to be so chunky. Great idea and wanted to love it but couldn't.

Ulysse Nardin 8156-111-2/91 wrist watches news:
For SIHH 2013,?Piaget will once again break a record when it comes to being thin with the Emperador Coussin XL Ultra Thin Minute Repeater. No we are not talking about anything related to "The Biggest Loser," but rather a new movement which is the thinnest of its kind. Traditionally, Piaget has been known for making very thin mechanical movements. A few years ago they revisited this pursuit and started to produce movements of various types and complications that are the thinnest of their kind.If you look back in watches-dealer archives you'll find a number of these watches. A few will probably be listed below under "Related Posts." Usually when Piaget has something slim to brag about they put an "Ultra Thin" title in the name of the piece. For 2013, Piaget has upped the ante even more by producing the world's thinnest minute repeater movement in the caliber 1290P. It also happens to be an automatic. The 1290P contains 407 parts and is just 4.8mm thick. The Emperador Coussin XL Ultra Thin
The Bulgari Serpenti Collection is probably one of the most widely recognized jeweled watches on the market today. It is seen on the wrists of numerous high-profile celebrities and after seeing one in person, I can say with certainty is it definitely a showstopper. 1 OF 7 Bulgari, the well-known italian jewelry company, was founded in Rome in 1882 by Greek jeweler, Sotirios Voulgaris (later Romanized to Bulgari). The company continued to grow and was managed by three generations of the Bulgari family before being acquired by LVMH in 2011. It wasn’t until the 1970s, when the company saw very strong growth, that it became the internationally recognized brand it is today. 2 OF 7 The Serpenti is one of Bulgari's most recognizable designs and was first introduced in the 1940s. The earliest confirmed Serpenti bracelet design was inspired by the “gas pipe” design and was made in the Machine Style of the late 1940s. The result was a wrap-around
One of our sponsors, Gnomonwatches, carries the 'Aviation' brand of watches. According to the website they are made with the same parts and movements on the same machinery used by Breitling prior to 1980. So you are effectively buying a Breitling with 'Aviation' on the dial instead. Here's a link to the watches:gnomonwatches/Aviation.htmI can't make up my mind about these. I guess they're just as good as the originals that came from the same machines. The prices don't seem much cheaper than a modern Breitling though. What are other members thoughts on these watches?Anyone own one?Just curious.
It wasn't until recently, less than 2 months that I got interested in Patek, so much that I ordered 1 week ago a 5712, and I have been looking since a few days into ALS, for curiosity purposes.I find many of their pieces quite fascinating, especially some which one could expect at much higher price levels are relatively well priced for the renowned quality of this brand, for example the Langematik perpetual calendar, or the Lange 1 time zone.I like that many of their models are hand wound, I love automatic watches but hand wound pieces give you a deeper relation with the watch IMO.From what I read on TRF most Patek fans put PP and ALS either on the same level of quality and craftsmanship or PP first but ALS in second.I never saw one in real but on photos they do seem to have a superior level of quality, the finish on them seems impeccable.Unfortunately even if I find them very beautiful and not too expensive for some interesting models, they are too much in the dress watch section for
