Vacheron Constantin 42005 wrist watches news:
It's a hypothetical question I know since the belief and expectation is that Omega will eventually phase out the 2500 in favour of the cal 8500 and its' derivatives. The targeted changeover as many of you know is in 2010.During the time when both movements remain in production which surely cannot be that long a period, the first and obvious advantage from a consumer's point of view would be that the entry point into the world of the Co-Axial movement will have been maintained at a reasonable level. Is this entirely desirable from a consumer's point of view? I suppose the answer in part to that question is what Omega's customers wish of the brand. If you were to consider a graph with the y axis representing levels of quality. Back in the 50s and 60s, Omega rode high with their 500 series movements. Then came the quartz revolution which spelled the death knell for many a Swiss manufacturer. Omega in combating the ' invasion ' began to produce their own quartz watches and in many varied
Can you describe how a tungsten watch will feel (weight), look (luster), wear (scratch resistance), and any other factors? Are there particular brands to avoid & look to when buying a tungsten-cased watch? Thanks for your thoughts and opinions.
Hello All,I am interested in purchasing an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding and am trying to select between the 15400ST and 15450ST. For comparison purposes, I believe that the Rolex Day-Date 40 fits my 6.65 (rather flat across the top) wrist well.I believe that I am somewhat between sizes and that the 15202ST would likely be the best fit, but regret the higher price, lack of features such as a quick-set date and particularly the lack of a seconds hand. The 15400ST case is borderline, whilst the 15450ST's dial visually appears rather small to me - which is something that concerns me.Rolex Day-Date 40https://.flickr/photos/153998.../shares/01ro29Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding 15400ST (including one with the bracelet pulled taut)https://.flickr/photos/153998.../shares/8pF47TAudemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding 15450SThttps://.flickr/photos/153998.../shares/h6aBr4Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding 15202SThttps://.flickr/photos/153998.../shares/1989LnThank you for your thou
I'm looking for a part time job and my AD is hiring. Yes, I know that working at an AD is no glorious job, but then again I don't know many jobs that are. I think my passion for watches and more specifically Rolex will make my time there much more enjoyable. My question: Do AD employees get a discount? If so, how big are we talking?I feel like this isn't a question I should ask them directly so I felt here was a good place to search for an answer. Its not a deal breaker, but its something that could be a big bonus. If anyone has first hand experience I love for you to share. Thanks!
I read that you can verify the authenticity of a Rolex at a RSC for $150 and have a few questions¡-How long does it take? -Is the price $150?-Does this include any type of paperwork or certificate card?Thanksedit - I meant RSC not AD
