Vacheron Constantin 49150/B01A-9097 wrist watches news:
To close October, we are turning our attention to the city of Hong Kong, which is surely one of the most significant market for watches. Hong Kong, as some of you may know, is the single largest market for watches. It continues to the lead the world in terms of value for Swiss watch exports. Last year, it imported over 4.1 billion CHF worth of Swiss watches, nearly double that of the United States. And along with neighboring China, it¡¯s also one of the world¡¯s largest exporters of watches. So this month, we decided to check out the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair and also Watches & Wonders 2015. Check out what we saw in this month¡¯s round-up below. Our visits to Hong Kong aside, we also look at new watches from SevenFriday, Panerai, Jaeger-LeCoultre, and Omega. Finally, we check out Greubel Forsey¡¯s deceptively simple-looking Tourbillon 24 Secondes Vision to find out how much work actually goes into the watch. And, still on the subject of high-end watches and finishing, we examine
Three dials and three movements, this B.R.M. (BRM) 3MVT-52 (also known at the 3MVT-52N watch was origianlly released in 2006 and was to a degree a watch that was ahead of its time. Why? Because it was damn big at 52mm wide and in titanium. Each movement is an automatic ETA 2671 mechanical movement that has its own dedicated crown. Now you can understand the scheme behind the model name of the watch "3MVT-52" - three movements, 52mm wide. BRM watches all have a auto racing theme. Nothing says auto racing more than a checkerboard pattern, which is what the sides of the watch are decorated with over the titanium case. The frames around the case have drilled holes and screws and serve a nice cosmetic function to make the face of the watch and the three dials really pop out. I have a feeling most people walking by would give this watch a second take look.Like many BRM watches, the lugs are not only drilled but articulate for a better fit on your wrist. The dials of the watch are each a sepa
Last week, Alpina looked to turn a few heads and break some technological ground at Baselworld with their interesting ¨C even exciting ¨C new release, the new Alpiner 4 Flyback Chronograph. The new chrono features Alpina's brand new in-house flyback chronograph movement. Dubbed the Calibre AL-760, it's a new take on the classic column wheel chronograph mechanism. The column wheel is there, controlling the start-stop-reset functions. But instead of actual discrete columns, the wheel has a single central star shaped column. The star's recesses interact with the control lever the same way columns would in a conventional column wheel design. The result is a butter-smooth actuating mechanism for start-stop and start-stop-start-stop (and on and on, if the operator wishes to do so) functionality. The flyback function operates conventionally, with the push piece at 4 o'clock. Actuate this pusher with the chronograph running and you instantaneously restart the chrono timing from zero. All this functi
Is anyone familiar with this watch? I just picked one up on the 'bay and it is a nice looking watch, though bigger than I expected. It is one of the only low cost alternatives to a JLC reverso. It says it is made in Germany. A few forum entries on various sites got no replies, so I thought I would shout out to the great knowledge base here! Thanks!
How many people here own an AP that's not either a RO or ROO?PICs please.
