- This watch is very nice but I must admit the band is very stiff. I have other watches with the same type of band that are very soft and flexable. For this reason I find myself not reaching for it as often as the others.

Vacheron Constantin 57215/000J-8 wrist watches news:
So I was wondering, and I would like to hear other's input on this. If the sole purpose of providing a sapphire crystal on a watch is to prevent, and in many cases, eliminate the crystal from being scratched, why is anti-reflective coating applied to its outer surface? I can't seem to understand this. Granted it may provide a higher degree of readability in certain circumstances, but over the long run (years or even decades), it may cause perceivable scratches and imperfections on the crystal that are NOT covered under warranty. An example of this is the Planet Ocean. I own a SMP 2254 and this piece only has AR coating on the underside of the crystal and the dial can be seen perfectly in many and almost all circumstances. So, it seems like coating both sides of a sapphire crystal has no benefits, but rather only shortcomings. Any thoughts?

I moved to ATL a few days ago, and Swiss Watch Expo is within walking distance, so I thought I'll entertain myself and go check out their selection.Few of the older Rolex watches were obviously polished past usable condition, and few were clear frankenwatches. But on modern pieces, they do have quite a large selection.Prices are way higher than TRF, but that's expected given that it is a real store, not an internet seller. But here comes the funny part. I asked what sort of trade-in they would offer me for my 15202 Jumbo. The sales rep went and asked her manager.7000 dollars in store credit.Seven Thousand dollars for a 15202 Jumbo. I'm sorry, but that's not even a lowball, that's an attempted robbery. She then explained how they get watches at wholesale prices and so on and so on. I simply said thank you for a good laugh, and left. There are lowball offers, and then there are insulting offers, and then there is this.
Hi guys,As the title, im a complete newbie to watch world. After doing research for a while, i narrow down some of these models that i find on chrono that fit my taste and my budget:.chrono24/en/audemarsp...-id2643180.htm.chrono24/en/audemarsp...m&watchTypes=U.chrono24/en/audemarsp...=2&tab=detailsMy question is: how do i avoid a scam and get what i pay for? 10.000-12.000 is a lot of money to me after all. How can i be sure that after i make a payment, the seller will ship it to me? What can i do if the watch arrive not as describle or not working probly? Or in worst case, it is a fake watch? Also, please be kind and give me as many advice as possible as im totally naive about watch.Thank you in advance.
Happy new year to all. Just wondering if any of you have specific pet names for your watches? Do you refer to your watch as she or he? I have a hulk. My kids cleverly started calling it the Green Machine. That then devolved into Greenie. By virtue of repetition, that has stuck. My watch, for better or worse, is now affectionately referred to as Greenie in my house.Help me come up with something better! What are your watch pet names and how did they come about?ps - Sorry if this is a repeat thread. I did a forum search and couldn't find anything on the topic.
