Going through boxes and I just found my Timex Indiglo from 1993. Put a battery and found a strap in and voila! it works. Amazing how tiny by today's standard too.I think I'll wear it today.

I understand this 39mm piece is discontinued and likely to become a collectable. I further understand that the blue dial is rare. Please kindly verify just how rare this piece is and if it is. Hey Guys,I have posted about the unfortunate demise of my OEM AP Deployment Buckle and how I was using an OEM AP ROO Rubber Strap with an AP Bands Tang buckle. It was an adequate solution until I could figure out what I was going to do about the deployment buckle situation but the aftermarket buckle always kind of bugged me. I recently acquired an OEM AP Diver Strap with the OEM Tang buckle. After owning a Panerai, strap changes have become almost a necessity for me. I also found, after wearing a Panerai, that the AP was much more traditional in its proportions and seemed quite narrow at the buckle. In fact, after a year and half of wearing the AP, I had gotten used to the more traditional proportions of the AP strap, so, the diver was a bit of a shock in that it is quite wide throughout its length, much like a Panerai. How many more logos & crowns can or should Rolex place on their timepeices?
With certain models now maintaining several plus rolex crowns on the timepiece, including the etched words rolex in numerous locations, what do you think is too much? Are we getting to a tipping point where our beloved watches may boarder on overkill, or forbid tacky?We all know it’s a rolex right...the person sitting next to us can clearly see that too, but how much more branding does one really need or want? Too much of a good thing is not necessary always a net gain, but are we there yet? At what point is one more crown or rolex branding logo too much? Where do others see rolex’s branding strategy going long term? Are we going to eventually have 14+ crowns on timepieces a decade from now? Overall…I’m ok where it’s at, but tastefulness to tackiness is a fine line and when I look back over time there are typically fewer branding marks on previous generations fwiw. Interested to see what others think.Thanks.
