Following on from my previous Thread with a Poll on which dial colour to get:.rolexforums/showthread.php?t=518371I ended up with the Black Dial 15710ST! Thank you everyone who helped me out there and took the time to post your comments, really appreciated it. This isnt a full on review as there are many reviews online that does a better job than me, but from another watch guys perspective. Here are a few shots of my AP and my thoughts. Background: I wanted something sporty that I can wear casually, in various climates, during holidays etcetc but didnt want the usual suspects like Omega, IWC Aquatimer, Rolex Sub/SD, Tudor etc. Not dissing them ofcourse, they are all amazingly high quality robust watches but just wanted something abit different. Not too sure....What do you guys think?IMG_0552.jpgmy Xmas gift from my most amazing wife...She had to jump through a few hoops to get this..It is an official Omega Clock (seen at the PGA, And soon to be Olympics)...IMG_0553.jpgWill look great on the wall of my office (packed up right now waiting for our big move)...
Last night I took some time and installed a new Rubber B strap (black rubber with sahara tan inset stripe) on my (stainless) Panerai 233. Overall a straight forward process, and easy enough. I don't think I scratched anything. :)Noticed that the Panerai supplied leather and rubber straps have a steel pin tube, and that the clasp screw is in the band really good. Had to pull on that one to get it out and over to the new band. What I did not know, and could not find reference on, was IF the steel pin tubes (2; 1 for each side of the strap) were required to be put in the Rubber B strap or I could just leave them out (the Rubber B seems to not take the pin tubes). Can anyone confirm or provide guidance on this? Thanks. Lovin' my first Panerai! :)
