Nevo Analog Smartwatch Marries Minimalist Looks With Activity Tracking And Notifications
Say hello to the Nevo smartwatch, a minimalist smart device that the creators claim is the world's first minimalist watch with a Swiss movement that includes both activity tracking and fitness features, as well as phone notifications. Perhaps the closest design competitor would be the Withings Activit¨¦ smartwatch that is also minimalist in design with an analog dial. What also makes these two watches similar is that neither is yet available for purchase, so we can add them to the quickly growing roster of "might be around someday," yet otherwise exciting connected wearable devices. Magrette Moana Pacific Chronograph Review
We were very excited a few months ago when Magrette announced the upcoming release of two chronographs built around Seagull ST1901 movements. We thought, wow, there's a brand that is willing to take a little risk to bring out an interesting and affordable watch. Mechanical chronographs are unfortunately all too rare in the sub $1,000 price range, largely because few brands other than ETA make movements that boutique brands can use. So, using a Chinese movement to reach an accessible price point is a great thing to do. On top of that, we already knew from Blake's review of the Regattare that Magrette makes quality watches with interesting looks. Last week, while visiting the Hamilton official site, I sent their Customer Service an email requesting some info. on a couple of older Hammy chronos I was in the process of acquiring. Specifically, I was interested in their production span. I told them I was guessing mid-'90s. I included the apparent series numbers from the back of the case. Just rec'd a written response to my inquiry. I quote "Many of the records for the 1980's and 1990's were not stored and so were lost. However, we are working on rebuilding our historical archive and therefore kindly ask you to send clear photos of the front and back of your timepiece in order to help you accordingly."Hell, I have copies of tax returns, bank statements, etc. from the 80's and earlier. Hard to believe the Swatch group doesn't do a better job of tracking their production. What do you guys think?

Another incoming (that was unexpected )
On December 2017 I paid in full for a white dial Daytona which I am still waiting for. When I was picking my SkyDweller Blue dial 10 days ago ( March 5th) I asked my saleswoman at the AD if she had any updates on it. She said that a black dial Daytona had come last month but she still did not get one with the white dial. I was second in line in December and I was still second in line then. Not the greatest news . She continued saying that she called the guy in front of me ( also fully paid for a white dial) to see if he wanted the black dialed one but he turned it down so she called the guy that was on the list ( just a small deposit ) for the black. I responded that if she had called me I would have taken the black dial. ¡° I thought you were set firmly on the white dial one , that is why I didn¡¯t call you ¡° she responded. ¡° oh I am firm on the white. This is the one I really want, but I would have taken the black also I f you would sell it to me ¡°. I was expecting to get stared at fun
