The Parmigiani Bugatti Mythe timepiece will be one of three piece unique watches unveiled this weekend during the Pebble Beach auto show events (Concours de Elegance), to help celebrate Parmigiani's ten-year relationship with the very high-end car maker Bugatti. It was in 2004 that the first Parmigiani Bugatti watch was released, and since then we've seen a range of highly avant garde timepieces produced via the formal agreement between the two brands.While there has been a range of Parmigiani Bugatti watches over the years the new Bugatti Mythe watch is related to the original Parmigiani Bugatti Type 370 (some images in this article). Every time I see a movement and dial on the swamp being sold without its solid gold case, I am a bit sad. This movement and dial is simply NUTS! See: 280623764416While I know gold is high, this near NOS Tiffany dial and Hamilton movement MUST have been in an equally terrific 14K or 18K case.

Went diving and by clasp got stuck
I went diving in Peurto Rico. Wore my Titanium SMP. Afterwards, I sat on the beach for a while. When I went back to the hotel, I could not get my watch off. The clasp was filled with sand! Never had this problem with any of my Rollies. Took 2 days to shake the sand loose, then I rinsed out the rest of the sand for 30 minutes under the sink till it all came out. Wow!I always liked the omega clasp better than Rolex, but after this, I swear only to wear a Sub for diving.Bummer!

Seems strange for Rolex to offer the Pepsi in both metals. I get the different dials and braclet but this seems odd to me. Thoughts?
