A. Lange & Sohne 730.025 wrist watches news:
As we at HODINKEE like to do, I am thrilled to give you an early look at some of the highlights from the May 2016 auction season – here with a focus on our friends at Christie's. We already know that cross-town rival Phillips has a special, stainless-steel chronographs sale planned for the weekend of May 14th in Geneva, but that doesn't mean Christie's isn't going down without a fight. In fact, based on what you'll see here, it's fair to say we are in for an absolutely incredible weekend of watch sales. Let's get down to it. The Earliest Patek Philippe 530 Oversized Chronograph In Steel, With A Sector Dial 1 OF 12 This 530 Steel is the earliest known example, dating back to 1938. Hi guys,I thought I'd reintroduce myself and share a few pictures of my 2234.50. Hope you enjoy them.
I wanted to experiment with another period bracelet, after receiving that Krementz bonklip-style one with my Rutledge a couple of months ago. That one ultimately has landed onto this Tonneau:Which previously resembled this:So, despite how swell this Square B looks on a simple black pigskin strap......I found a contemporaneous steel bracelet which gives a totally different look. I'm sure many will have strong preferences...Actually I ultimately prefer the strap, but like this too. Choice is good.
Over the years I've read several people say "Do not put your Kinetic on a Winder". Since I did not own a Kinetic then, I did not really care. Now that I have one, I was wondering, what is the technical reason why it is not advisable to put a Kinetic on a winder.I know there is a "charger" that you could buy and use, but that item is generally more expensive than the watch. I just wondered if what I've been reading is true or if this is just an urban legend.
