Time to vote for what the month of April's themed Friday Wrist Check threads will be. We'll make it simple: the winner is the 1st Friday 4/2, second place is next Friday 4/9, etc.
Hi All,I've never demagnetized a watch before so thought I'd start here to see what you all think.I purchased an inexpensive demagnetizer from eBay that I've seen others report success with. That said, I think it worked as when I run my vintage Omega Seamaster DeVille by a compass it doesn't move. That said, when I run the demagnetizer with the watch it causes the second hands to jump forward erratically...and sometimes it causes it to pause for a split second. Is this expected or normal...or could this perhaps be indicative of some other issue?
I know one or two TRFer's have in the past commented on the RSC costs. Take a look at Patek Philippe charges:-Automatic (Level 2) - 800Complication 1 (Level 3) - 1000Complication 2 (Adv Level) - 1500Comps 2 include most basic Chronographs. The prices quoted are in Swiss FR (1UK¡ê = 2.023 SFR)That is about ¡ê740 for a basic service on a chronograph. AJF.
I recently saw one of my physicians wearing, what looks to be a panerai (pam312). But, it was a white dial and had a date magnifier. Any clue what it is???
