- I like the coppery look of the dial which looked quite different from regular watches at the same time classy. I got the white strap with copper metal dial. Looks cool!

A. Lange & Sohne 140.029 wrist watches news:
Audemars Piguet created minute repeater and grand strike pocket watches from its founding in 1875, and they claim the first minute repeater wristwatch, produced in 1892. The new Millenary Minute Repeater incorporates the manufacture’s newest technical developments: the AP escapement and a double balance-spring, as well as the striking mechanism and its gongs. The result is an auditory and visual delight for the 21st century. The striking mechanism is the oldest of all complications. As early as the 15th century, certain pocket watches sounded the hours in passing, while quarter-repeating mechanisms striking the hours and quarters on demand appeared in the late 17th century. Do any of you wear your watch to bed? Not sure where I picked it up from, other than to easily see what time it is in the middle of the night, but I've always worn my watch to bed. This "habit" is pretty much the reason luminosity is important to me. I don't like LED bedside clocks! A wind up Big Ben or the like is OK. Still I prefer to get my nighttime time from a simple glance of my wrist. Pretty much I only remove my watch when I shower. Heck, maybe it should get a daily shower also. Any benefits to not wearing an automatic to bed? I wore my Rolex to bed for years and it still works and keeps good time.
Hi All,Having owned and subsequently sold a S/S Daytona that I could never get along with I thought I was done with chronographs. I've been on the hunt for a new piece and with all my other watches being Rolex was keen to have a look at another brand, I also wanted something on a leather strap as all my other are on metal bracelets. As such I started gravitating towards the Omega Speedmaster as it seemed to fit the bill; as iconic in the Omega range as the Submariner is to Rolex, stacks of history and provenance and looks great on a leather strap.Having tried on quite a few of the various moonwatch models I decided on the original 3570.50 and took the advice of a few of you guys and bought it on the bracelet and ordered the deployment strap which I had fitted.Having had the watch for a week now it's definitely an improvement on the Daytona, for me anyway. Uber legible dial, cool retro styling and love the manual wind feature. I would also say that at less than 40% of the price of the D
