Audemars Piguet Audemars Piguet 3719 wrist watches news:
I've always liked German Nivrel's dive watches. The newest one is the Deep Ocean GMT; a mechanical GMT watch with a elegantly purposeful design. The steel case is 43mm wide with a rotating 24 hour bezel and black dial with easy to read hour markers and hands coated in SuperLumiNova. It isn't too thick at 13mm either. The case has a sapphire crystal and is water resistant to an impressive 500 meters.Inside the Deep Ocean is a base Swiss ETA 2836 automatic GMT movement. With the bezel you can track three separate timezone with the watch. Attached to the Deep Ocean GMT is a steel bracelet, but Nivrel also includes a silicone strap and changing tool. Overall the attractive diver is a good value as well as good performer. Price is 899 Euros (about $1,100 and available Nivrel's website), but you have a change to win one by entering below. To Enter You Must: 1. I just sent a Boulton dial out to be refinished and was wondering what the D-90 on the bottom of the dial meant. As far as I know, the Boulton is the only watch that has this D-90, and am not sure if all Boultons have it.
Has everyone else noticed that the typically referenced Hamilton serial number lists do not include the 987F or 987A movements? I also wonder why the 987 is dated after the 987E. Am I missing something? ;)
Probably breaking a few rules here but...........found this gem at that auction site. vendor is vintagegoatfilms No link provided by me but I snagged one of these.Hamilton watch filmsA must-have DVD for all watch collectors and those interested in fine watches. We have put together two fantastic films created by the Hamilton Watch Company. Hamilton watches are among the most collectable. Hamilton, which was founded in 1892, is renowned for producing the first battery powered watch in 1957. Ironically, in 1969 Hamilton also produced the last mechanical watch made with an American manufactured movements. These films show us the Hamilton Watch Company when it was near its finest hour. First is a nearly 20 minute long, 1949 video showing ¡°How a Watch Works.¡± This is one of the most fascinating videos you will ever watch. It explains how a mechanical watch works by using giant watch parts. Then the parts use stop-action animation to ¡°march¡± off in order to assemble themselves into a normal
