Roger Dubuis (the brand) has had a very interesting history over the last 15 years or so - and none of what I am referring to has anything to do with their watches. The man Roger Dubuis started it 1995. He was later ousted from his own brand by a guy who I heard sort of force him to sell it. Then the brand underwent a massive lawsuit in the US (which they lost). Then Richemont bought it and decided they would try to bring back Roger Dubuis into the light. Then George Kern was appointed the CEO by the Richemont board to try and make something good of the brand as well as strengthen the movement manufacturing, and now Roger Dubuis himself has been rehired by the brand he started himself a while ago that was going on for so long with his name and not his blessing. Interesting right??? Well I think so. Welcome back Roger.Roger Dubuis won't have a specific title as I understand it. He will work with the new Head of Movement Development, helping with ideas, design, execution, and inspiration

Does Rolex sell genuine parts for modification on authentic watches?
I inherited a ladies rolex perpetual datejust that is gold/stainless steel, comes with a gold dial with diamond markers, a gold bezel and has stainless steel and gold bracelet. It was bought from an AD over 10 years ago and is in pristine condition with all papers and documents intactin neverworn condition.I really dislike yellow gold though and would rather have a non-fluted bezel. Would it be possible to bring it in to Rolex to get them to fit it with a stainless steel bracelet, polished ss bezel and change the dial to MOP without diamonds?Or would it make more sense to sell it as is and buy a stainless steel version?Thanks!

Ceramic Diver watch plots
I truly love my Audemars Ceramic DiverSometimes however I wonder however if I would like a more uniform look with respect to the watch plots if they came in black ceramic or darker titanium.Does anyone know if these plots are available?I called the Miami Boutique and they stated there are no AP options for this watch. Perhaps aftermarket?Thanks!

The Tachymeter or Tachometer bezel on your Chronograph is a simple calculator for determining approximate speed in MPH/KPH, or determining a simple rate of production.For speed estimates, you need a measured mile or kilometer. As the object you want to time enters one point on the measure (milepost) start the stopwatch function of your chronograph. When it reaches the next milepost, stop the second hand. An estimate of mph is read off the bezel.Here is an example. The time to travel the measured mile took 20.2 seconds or ~179 mphRate of production can also be determined. If you are watching an assembly line, or timing an event (say chugging a bottle of water), you start the timer at the beginning of the event. You stop after the end of the event, or when another product comes off the assembly line.Using our example above; if 1 widget was made during the 20 seconds timed, then 179 widgets are being produced per hour.
